I thought those circles were there before? I could of sworn that I've seen them a lot in the past. Am I missing something, because everything looks the same besides the new snack stand?

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

Out of curiosity, why is there a snack shop inside the Globe lobby? Does the show have an intermission? It seems like an odd place for a concession stand.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

They have the lobby open between all the shows, the only time it is closed is right before they open up the doors to the next show's guests. People can go in as they please throughout the day to buy something.

So, they are paying someone to staff a concession stand that will get only limited foot traffic. How many people will even know to walk inside the theater for a snack? As the resident member of the GP, I can promise you that the thought would never cross my mind.

If you've seen the show, then you probably saw the snack stand on your way in/out. You may know where it is, but if it is inside the Globe theater, which you have to go AROUND an ANNOYING fence to get into, why would you bother leaving the main path to go to the snack stand as you are walking through Banbury when there are much more convenient places to buy food? It makes no sense.

No, the fences are open, you just have to walk up the steps and go right on in.

When I went to see the show, they were closed. I had to go around.

The lobby was more of a color scheme change than anything else. The new colors are darker and just give the room a more regal look.

That's only when they are letting in people for the show. The fences remain open in between shows.

They changed the colors? I mean, they look exactly the same from what I remember. Someone needs to present some photos from the past, because nothing has changed from my memory other than the snack stand.

This makes absolutely NO sense! When they don't really need to let that many people in, they open the gates. When the show actually opens and guests are actually supposed to be entering, they close the gates and make the guests go around.

People get the munchies when they watch a show. You may not watch shows, but others in the general public do. I don't think this stand is meant to cater to people on the beaten path, but solely to get the business of impulse buyers in the mood for a snack before or after the show. Just like what is done in the Abbey Stone, it makes sense business-wise to nab a few extra bucks from hungry patrons.

I never liked the idea of food in the theaters, I've seen many disasters in Abbey Stone because of kids dropping popcorn, or adults kicking over their beer. It's one thing for actual theaters to sell food and stuff, but it's a 20 minute show.

Abbey Stone's is at least kinda sorta easily seen from the path. Even if the fences are open for the Globe, it's still a big deterrent from walking up there and getting food. Especially considering the fact that there are other places to get snacks in the area that are along the way in or out.

They use the gate to block people from building a line on the steps. It actually helps to form a line on the side of the theater instead of in the middle of the pathway.

RE: London Rocks! (2014 to Present)

I was there for the 8:00 show tonight. I was also at the start of This is Octoberfest at 7:00. I bought a beer while there. When I got to the Globe I saw they had concessions. I shook my beer and figured I had enough, but if it took longer than expected to get there the stand would have been a welcome sight. Not having to leave the theater, especially with the ticket system, is good.
My view of the show has also changed after seeing it. I will elaborate later.

Not exactly, I think the old one said "The Globe," as in it was more authentic to the real Globe theatre. Considering BGW's Globe is one of the best made replicas, it should be more authentic, and the old lobby said that to me. But we all knew they took away the authenticity after what they did to the front of it.
