I wasn't even joking, but I figured you'd get a kick out of it regardless. It's a real haunt, with some sermon crap at the end.

The experience starts when you get out of your car, there are speakers hidden throughout the entire area the attraction are making a bunch of spooky sounds. As you get closer to the attraction, the sounds get louder. You buy your ticket and make your way to the start of the attraction and it gets louder and louder... You enter the maze and it's pure silence. Great effect.

Not to mention, the first set piece absolutely destroyed anything I've seen from busch as of late. They had a crashed cessna (they used an actual airplane) scene that they used that for atmosphere, and from what I could follow you were following the twisted descent of these individuals in the crash through their worse nightmares.

The maze from the year I went include different sections such as an insane asylum where the patients eventually went crazy and killed everyone with some crazy effects and intense death scenes I didn't expect to see from Liberty University(and much more intense then I'd ever seen at busch), Clowns done effectively, The obligatory "Hell" section which obviously received quite the portion of the budget, this weird crazy dream section with a drum room that I can't even begin to explain, but it was a really effective scare, and a "afraid of the dark" section where it was completely sealed off from the light and the actors blended in with walls... Not to mention, it is a REALLY long maze and was worth the $5 bucks or so I paid to go.

Quite honestly, I'd compare it to a super intense 13. I'd say it was a better maze than anything the park has had to offer in recent years, easily. I went with my atheist, "pansexual" ex, her Wiccan best friend and this cool lesbian couple. If they could enjoy it, you probably could too.

You can skip the sermon portion at the end by the way.

Totally, they have a pre marital sex room where a bunch of baby dolls point and laugh at you and call you a heathen and or a sinner. It was the scariest room ever. /sarcasm

No.

It's purely a haunted attraction until the end. The only religious reference in the maze were angels and demons and hell. like I said, It's rather intense for something put on by a christian organization, especially one with as much, uh... "Fervor" as Liberty University.

That's almost a little less interesting.  I'll look into it and might keep it on my radar.

I'm glad I'm getting all these responses though.

I'll be checking out Hunt Club like always, just because its only like 15 mins from my house, and its super popular with all my friends so what the hell, last years was decent, but its never the best.

Trying to FINALLY make it to spooky acres this year

theres apparently another haunted house in VB called midnight manor, no idea how it is though as the website is down.

Hunt Club is the Halloween place for Virginia Beachers, just expect a lot of teens, it's basically they're Halloween hang-out.(me being one)

While the scares at Hunt Club were decent, I'm not sure how much I appreciated everything else. The market thing they had was cool enough, but they had some raver dude spinning objects as entertainment and some Juggalo scare actors. Plus nothing says "tacky" like an airbrush shirt kiosk.

I could totally see that being something kids like though.

I'm sorry for the double post, but in researching possible attractions I remembered a story about an old plantation in Virginia Beach that was well known to be haunted. I heard that they did Halloween tours and was curious if they still did that. I was pleasantly surprised when I stumbled across this-http://ferryplantation.org/events/friday-night-frights/

It's still a few months until the season (though it's always Halloween in my heart), but would you guys want a review of this as kind of a test?

I actually prefer haunted/historic tours (vs. costumes and theatrics). So you get my vote.

You MUST do Haunted Wisconsin in that case. I too will be attending the plantation.

Glad to see all are not into cheap thrills by makeup.

Yeah. I mean, I think the idea of a true haunting is far more terrifying than some dude dressed in make up with a chainsaw. Plus, I like history. I did the haunted walk in Williamsburg and that was a blast, even if the tour guide was a little goofy - he kept telling us to go look at the 'evidence' on their website. I did. Hundreds of pictures showing reflected light off of dust particles (kicked up by patrons walking) hardly constitutes evidence. But that's the atheist in me talking.

Thank you for that totally unsolicited kind comment.

Do you guys want to see this kind of stuff more? Possibly highlighted on a real site instead of buried in forums?

No.

I don't want to say this in a mean way, but personally I agree with Matthew. It's just not something I see a need for, and if you want to spend time on it, that's great- but just know I for one don't really care either way. I do think something on its own site would get what you're doing better exposure. It's a good idea in theory but I'd hate to see you "waste" (for lack of a better word) your time on it.

Yea, we need your smart, snarky, comedic, and abusive comments elsewhere in the forums PK.
