Not one for the bingo card at all. KMG is a very busy and successful manufacturer. The point above about their new project bookings is true and relevant, and not for a lack of factory capacity either.

I don't see them going the way of Wisdom Rides, hopefully/likely they restructure and bounce back. Can't offer a good explanation as we don't really know what's going on inside the company right now.

man, I bet parks are now gonna focus on mack rides, s&s, rmc & intamin (if they not gonna repeat the issues of shoot the rapids) for their steel coasters and some unknown flat ride makers
If you are actually human then I wish AI would hurry up and take over the world already.

An actual update from an industry source though. The main company is fine, KMG’s International arm specifically is the one being liquidated in direct relation to 2017’s Ohio State Fair Fireball accident.

This was arguably one of the most horrific ride accidents in modern history and one that sent shock waves through the American carnival industry. The ride itself was moved to the Dominican Republic, where I have unfortunately ridden it. The company’s sales didn’t really take a hit because they had enough product variety and goodwill built up, but it’s a dark stain on the company. Can’t say how this’ll play out but my guess is we don’t see too much change too soon.

@TPoseOnTantrum thank you for updating. I saw some of that information during my shift at work when one of my friends found it and told me about it. Meant to share but you beat me to it.

I’m just glad it’s not going under fully. KMG makes some extremely good rides and I found it hard to believe thst the entire company would be bankrupt given how much they have on the books. Them being bankrupt in the international division makes sense though, as most of their international sales are from the US. Given the recent incident, it makes sense why parks/showmen are steering clear of KMG offerings.

It's kind of the opposite, again they are booked out until 2030. Big waitlist of stuff for mostly showmen on both continents, everyone wants a piece of them.
Sorry, I should’ve clarified—American showmen/parks. Will amend my previous statements as such
