Here's a question about the parking lot -- there's a fenced-off grassy area just to the north of the kennels and next to one of the picnic table pavilions, and on the top of that grassy area are several gravestones. I assume these were existing graves from the people who sold the land to KD in the early 1970s???

I have another question about the parking lot... Did they used to run a parking tram? That grassy stretch from the entrance plaza all the way back to the back of the parking lot certainly looks like it was built for a tram...

According to the thread I found, it sounds like the graveyard it mentions is South of the water park and can only be accessed at the end of a service road. Not sure where the water tower it references is though?

That’s exactly what it was for. The trams ran around the grassy median and looped around near the flagpoles at the entry plaza; that’s why the curb still makes a large circular shape up there. Check out the bottom of this 1975 map.
