Interestingly seems to only be on facebook, Instagram and Twitter comments are entirely begging for a Backlot Retheme
Jesus Christ. I understand the pain of not having Winterfest anymore but there’s gotta be something wrong with these people if they keep parroting #bringbackwinterfest on a post that has nothing to do with seasonal events.Sorry for the double post, but man are passholders pissed about no Winterfest… (this on their backlot post)

Nah, customers feel like the product they paid for has been devalued. There are few public avenues to express disapproval (at least legally). Social Media posts are fair game.Jesus Christ. That is the only thing I remember seeing. Those lights could have been broken anywayobviously a lot of the decorations were sent away but where has there been any evidence of decorations being trashed besides a single strand of lights in a park trashcan?

Sending out the decor to the Texas parks makes me think they definitely won’t bring it back, unfortunately. It would cost the chain an insane amount of money to buy all new decor.
Speaking of comments, the post announcing opening day had a ton of negative comments about cancelling WinterFest. I will say I haven’t seen the level of guest discontent with cancelling any of the other Christmas events in the chain, including those before the merger.
Are you sure that’s who you were talking to? KD’s regional manager is a woman, Jess Naderman, who was previously Dorney’s GM.The Six Flags regional manager that oversees KD was at SFA's closing and sat and talked with many of the enthusiast that stuck around till they kicked us out around 9. The subject of Winterfest was repeatedly brought up to him. To summarize his response they are VERY aware that it's cancelation was not well received and are actively looking into possible options for some form of winter event in the future. It’s possible those plans don't ever amount to anything It’s also possible that he was just blowing smoke but from my observations he was sincere and the conversations were surprisingly polite and upfront given the situation.
