Was lucky enough to be at the private event that rented out the park yesterday. The new set pieces for the Site X scare zone look incredible! View attachment 34418View attachment 34419View attachment 34420View attachment 34421View attachment 34422
Interesting that there’s a snake. So far the snake temple has only been alluded to in paintings and markings in Jungle X (plus a puppet in the Let’s Get Wild show along with a panther puppet). I think this is our first time seeing anything resembling a “temple” ruin for the snake temple. I wonder if that says anything for 2025.

Either way, awesome set pieces. I’m also glad they’ve moved Site X back to flat rock. The scare zone had more energy (and seemingly more visitation) there.

Edit: Is that front one supposed to be a monkey or a panther?

Yea, I had taken multiple photos of the first one because I had the same thought. Initially I thought it was a monkey for Tumbili but the teeth made me question if it was a panther or jaguar.

Two questions:
1: Is Delirium gonna be closed or is the ride list not updated from last year?
2: Is the path behind Jungle Market usually open? I want to get to Project but I don’t like the scare zones

Pretty sure that's still a monkey. Google "Monkey teeth" and you'll see monkeys have some really intense teeth lol.

Love the statues, they look great. Let's not sleep on the dope looking spider for Arachnidia. Since they're not really scary like a lot of other scare zone pieces, any chance they would re-purpose them after Haunt? Like putting them near their respective rides' entrances or something? Haven't really noticed if they've done that in the past with other Haunt set pieces that could pass as normal park decor.

Have you ever seen the size of the canine teeth in mid-size monkeys? They rival the size of canine teeth in large cats!

Something that hasn’t been brought up yet… the park is selling lanterns that will interact with the scare zones and mazes. I’m very excited to see how they’ll add to the experience! They’re $40.

From the park’s blog:

“Interactive Lantern:
Hidden secrets await you in the fog. The NEW Halloween Haunt lantern feeds on the energy of a thousand fears – and when brought within the proximity of cursed locations, it reacts in strange & unpredictable ways. You can even bring them inside the mazes to light your way through the darkness. Take your Haunt experience into the next dimension and purchase your interactive lantern now. Limited quantity available.”

I’ll be interested to see if this is better than the skeleton key concept was a few years back

So is this just a replacement for the Skeleton Key concept they did a couple years ago, or is it something else?

This is pretty different. The skeleton key offering got you into exclusive rooms in houses or scarezones where there would be a little show sequence, added gag (sometimes literally), or similar. The lanterns just seem to be light-up things that react to or trigger what are likely Bluetooth becons or similar. The applications I've seen are light/sound/screen-based.

I think this would have a difficult time taking off at Haunt if it were free. $40? No shot. They're DOA.
