IF we were to get a new maze (and I mean new new as in never seen in Cedar Fair new), I would kill for a maze similar to Universal's The Darkest Deal. Something about the idea of selling your soul for talent or power has a dark side we never get to see of it.

Has anyone heard anything regarding this season yet? I’m impressed with how we’re so close to Haunt, yet we haven’t heard much at all.

Hearing news/rumors that some legacy Cedar Fair parks plan to extend the Haunt calendar by one weekend. Kings Island will now close Haunt on November 2nd instead of October 26th like originally planned (confirmed in a KI season pass holder group). I’m waiting to hear from more parks to see if this is exclusive to KI or if this is a chain wide thing. Cedar Point is also rumored to be doing something similar, but I have not seen any confirmation yet.

That’s because there’s almost nothing to announce for SCarowinds. And their shiny new addition from last year was cut 😗.
Now that BGW has gotten their houses announced, any word on when we should be seeing some information for KD’s Haunt?
Only speaking for KD and not the other legacy CF parks.

To my knowledge, KD usually does not put out specific Haunt details until around or just after Labor Day weekend. About 2-3 weeks before Haunt starts. It has been that way for years now. Course, with the merger, I don't know if that will continue or not. Maybe the Haunt event is so popular with folks, KD feels that they don't need to hype it up?

As far as the IP themed haunted houses being installed for certain legacy SF parks for 2025, I don't see the legacy CF parks getting those for this year. Haunt planning for the following year usually starts after the current Haunt ends and kicks into high gear with new/updated themes and fabrication of new stuff for new/revamped houses and scare zones by February/March. Not enough time for KD (or any other legacy CF park) to add those IP haunt themes for this fall.

Last I heard it was still gonna run during the day. But it was cut from running at night for several reasons beyond financial.

Well, I guess it’s a good thing that they’re gonna get some use out of many of the floats this season. Running a parade during Haunt seems like a logistical nightmare, so I’m not surprised in the slightest that the second parade was cut. I also heard it wasn’t very popular at all.

I don’t know if this actually means anything, but for the first time in a few years, Trick or Treat is not in the slideshow on the website 👀

Good thought, but don’t read into that at all. Multiple attractions aren’t showcased on that slideshow, and some of those pictures aren’t even from KD.

I don’t expect to hear anything until September. I’ll be pleasantly surprised if we do get a lineup any earlier.

So we now have a small bit of information regarding Haunt this year.

Kings Dominion is officially extending Haunt this year for an additional weekend!

Based on KDFanatic’s post, both Conjure the Night and Black Widow’s Burlesque are expected to return. There MAY be a new maze this season based on the wording of the attractions photo.

By the way, I couldn’t find this information myself on the website. They may have removed them after KDFanatics posted the screenshots.

Edit: Facebook embeds are acting weird, so I’m posting the screenshots below.

Haunt details to be revealed on Tuesday! Any guesses on what’s leaving?

My theories are based on absolutely nothing but here they are

- Trick or Treat is going
- A new maze/mazes is going to either replace Trick or Treat and/or go into the old Lockdown area
- Dark Entities is moving over to KD from Knott’s
- The Ruins is moving over to KD from Canada’s Wonderland to tie in with Rapterra

Hopefully something good is coming, Busch Gardens has been doing pretty good lately with new Howl-O-Scream editions

KDFans is saying that Trick or Treat and Condemmed are both going this year. Kinda upset by that because Condemmed is my mom’s favorite house at the event

KDFans didn't claim anything—just tossed out reasonable potential options.

Source: I wrote that tweet. 😋
Both have been strong well done houses losing both in one blow would be tragic especially considering what we have seen with Fear the last two years.
