I tried the onion rings last weekend and they were pretty good. They did have a funny chemical aftertaste so I'm not sure I would get them again.

Edit : Maybe not so much a chemical aftertaste but a funny aftertaste - maybe more along the lines that the oil was getting a little old. Otherwise they were good - I agree with the review above. Not getting them again has more to do with my aversion to deep fried foods so it needs to taste really good if I was to order it again. My wife had the mac and cheese and she really liked it.

I ordered the chicken fried steak last weekend and they gave me no gravy at all. I also agree that the Alfredo was flavorless. The steak itself was very good, though, and I would definitely order it in the future if it has gravy on it.

I still look forward to trying more of the new menu, and hope that I just had a one-off experience. The menu sounds great on paper.

They didn't put gravy on our chicken fried steak at first, but, thankfully, asked if we wanted any before handing it to us at the end of the line. Anyone wanting a chicken fried steak without the country-style gravy is legitimately unimaginable to me—it's like an essential part of the dish!

Does anyone know if the chicken pot pie is gone for good? It wasn't on the menu tonight.

Didnt see chicken pot pie anymore when I went this past weekend, but Winterfest menu item was a Hot Brown.
Pot pie has been missing since the start of fall at this point I assume it's gone.

As part of KD's 50th anniversary, one of the new menu items touted was a Three by Land "mega" sandwich:

And earlier here in July, it came to Juke Box Diner:

When looking at the menu above, some things I found interesting:
  • no calorie estimate; which I guess is somewhat understandable as it's a new item, and I don't know if it's a permanent item (after 2025)
  • the hefty price, making it one of the higher-priced items at the park
  • (but most importantly, especially given the price) the meal-plan icon
The park has done many 'specialty' food items over the years. But few make it to the season dining plan. So big props to the park on this one!

And the one time I picked this one up (though mine below looked nowhere near as good as the park's picture 🙂), I was pleasantly surprised how good, and most very filling, it was; where it's definitely worth a look, when not distracted by all the other great food items at the park.

It was originally not part of the dining plan but was tanking so badly that it was added to it to boost sales and attention. I am actually not sure how KD is getting away with not including calories as that is federal law now for restaurant menus.

does anyone remember when this restaurant used to be themed to Stan mitkias from Wayne world?
And having so much hope for it to turn out to be just another quick service restaurant. Would love to have seen some better movie like interior. And then they turned it into the Happy Days Cafe, and I was like "Sweet, they are going to turn this into Arnold's" for only them to strip all the Waynes World theming and put printed out Happy Days 8x10s on the wall..

Um I was perusing the app, and noticed Juke Box Diner is gone….
Remember the rumors that Johnny Rockets at SF America had 3 more years on its contract, and it would cost the same amount of money to break contract as it would to transfer those remaining years to KD.

I’m not saying this is the route corporate goes, but if I expected any surprise addition/renovation at all at KD this year, it would be this.

Wonder: What if it became a JR and wasn’t on the meal plan (or not all items on the meal plan) and the park transferred in house meal plan burgers strictly to Jungle Market Eatery?

The restaurant is still on KD's website, it's just missing from the app - an app that is known to be a glitchy mess that often does not show things accurately. There is no actual evidence at this point of time of JBD closing or being turned into anything else.

What does speculating about this, and even suggesting "transferring meal plan burgers" to a restaurant that actually doesn't exist anymore, accomplish?

I think the Johnny Rockets theory is interesting.

I'm opposed to chains in parks universally, but I also wouldn't be surprised to see current Six Flags do precisely what @MusicEnlightens said re: transferring the license from SFA to KD if that's a thing that's possible/financially beneficial in any way.

Have a source for that Johnny Rockets contract thing, @MusicEnlightens?

It was a rumor actively shared by culinary staff at botj KD anf SFA last fall. I could never pin down any hard info on it so it may have just been a wild rumor but it seemed to strange to be hearing it from both places.
