Lore

In the early 1900s, Scottish businessman Hiram S. McTavish opened McTavish Steel Mill, a direct competitor to Bethlehem Steel Company. Greed dictated McTavish’s every move, and he was well known to prioritize profits above people.

With an eye on maximizing output, McTavish created a massive hauler he dubbed “Iron Menace,” a device the steel industry had never seen. The rail transporter moved workers and ore at record volumes and dizzying speeds.

Suddenly the greedy steel baron mysteriously disappeared—no one knows how or where. Shortly after, McTavish Steel Mill closed. All that remains today are the mill’s decrepit shell, rusty relics and wild tales of the owner’s whereabouts.

Looks fun. And yeah it's weird to show it without the holding break... unless there won't be one? Is that possible?

I was also hoping to make it here close to opening, and I even got an invite to the media preview, but wasn't in the cards to go on such short notice. I hope to get there later in the year and pair it up with Great Adventure's new coaster, if that thing opens sometime before late fall.

Yeah seeing that jolt surprised me, going to hold my judgment until I see how it rides in person. Haven’t seen any media day attendees mention it, but I doubt anyone attending media day will say anything negative because they want parks to keep inviting them to media days.

Still looks like a great dive.

I'm sure some YouTubers or influencers may feel that way, but keep in mind that when the media events involve the reverse POV setup like this, we may only get one ride on the coaster. So we may not get to see if that jolt is just a fluke or something worth mentioning in our review.

And hey, I personally gave Wildcat's Revenge a lukewarm review last year after traveling to its media preview!

According to friends who’ve ridden it it’s more noticeable on the wings and you can’t really feel it
