Really interesting to see if BGW might copy this: Gravity Group is retracking Wildcat at Lake Compounce and instead of laying the wood one layer over another, they are aligning them vertically and showed how it’s much stronger and less bounce/give.

I haven't been able to see any retracking myself, although there was a noise from the ride area last Friday. At any rate, this is far from a full retracking. Due to its size it should be relatively easy to maintain, but this may be the most they've had to do yet. The GG precut track was also used on Grizzly. Note the vertical track is used for straight sections with hills cut into its shape, not curves were the wood is cut to the curve and a vertical stack would be hard to form and keep together.

It appears the retracking is the inner rail of the final turn/helix, only. There's also new wood for a section of fence and a stairway next to the brake run, which may be what I heard being worked on as of my post above. Running 2 trains today.

Anything else going on with it? I haven't been to the park in a couple years and I'm curious about the retracking. And did the retracking make it better?

It's still quite rough, a rattly way, no big potholes. Retrack was one rail of one curve. They're still planning to run it during CT so presumably have no big plans. Still very good in the front row.
