Don't think we have a broad thread for the steady increase in thoosie-ish long-form media we've been seeing over the last 5 years or so. Figured it would be an interesting topic (assuming I'm not the only person who has been seeking out and watching them all).
Few recent-ish films immediately come to mind like Closed for Storm, Spooktacular!, This Is How We Roll, Class Action Park, etc. Wanted to create this thread to specifically shout out Stolen Kingdom though which is now available for rent via Letterboxd's new rental service.
If you've stayed super up to date on the whole Buzzy/Patrick Spikes story and have a fair amount of awareness regarding urban exploration at Disney World, there likely won't be much new info for you in Stolen Kingdom, but I do think that it's probably the best thoosie-subject-matter doc that I've seen so far. I imagine it's a lot more approachable than something like Closed for Storm or This Is How We Roll, both of which sorta rely on the viewer already caring about the subject matter. Stolen Kingdom feels like it will really appeal to a very wide audience—it's the type of film I'd be happy to put on to watch with total non-thoosie friends and family—I'm confident they'd find it fascinating—very similar to Class Action Park in that way.
Anyway, definitely recommend it. Always nice to be able to financially support more professional media in this space too!
