Did this thing have the metal detectors and lockers back when it was still hurler? Or were they added when it became TT? Was at carowinds a few months ago and their hurler had metal detectors and lockers which surprised me. I thought only TT had them.

They were added for TT. And honestly, if Hurler would've needed metal detectors, it would've been the first few years it was open as the ride had really amazing airtime as the first three hills after the first drop had ejector air.

Hurler at CW had 0 airtime and was easily the roughest coaster I've ever ridden. Surprised me that it had the lockers. Can't imagine more phones fly out of it than any other ride.

The Hurlers were killed by trim brake in 2010 and rides after are not representative. I wouldn't call its airtime ejector but it had good stomach-fluttering pops off the seat at 4-5 places. The first 2 turns became insane within a decade but the rest lasted much longer and that last turn was sweet back when it had speed. Now I think a dropped phone would land on the floor.

Unless maybe it's part of a bigger project not announced.

I remember KD Hurler being pretty fun back when it was newer, if not anything super fantastic. I didn't get back into amusement parks until four of five years ago or something, so I didn't experience Hurler's later years.

It's a good thing you missed out on those later years because it was a shell of its former self.

Well if you want to make up for it just have a seat in chair and get someone to hold a jackhammer to the back of it.

They didn’t have lockers/metal detectors as of when I was there in June.

sorry for bumping this thread but, I wonder what did they did to the room where the Wayne world set used to be?, did they take it out and make it additional queue line?

Are you referring to the doll factory set, or the basement set? As netdvn said, the doll factory set was on the exit side of the station. If you are referring to the basement set photo op, that was located on the back of the Rock Shop, now Twist and Shop.
