I've been wondering, who is the actual Ripper Character in that terror-tory (if any)?

The actual Jack the Ripper (if it was only one person in truth) was never apprehended; one of the first serial-killers of the nineteenth century, whose identity was never discovered. Therefore all of the suspicious characters in Ripper's Row are suspect, and left to the public's ponderations.

Interestingly, there is a new theory claiming that he never existed. A retired British cop apparently reviewed the case files and believes it is all an urban myth.

So yes, there were a series of 17 unsolved murders, in three specific locations. New York, Whitechapel, and a town in Germany. Now if we take a look back here, yes Whitechapel was a crime-ridden place and anyone of upper class surely would have died; however, in the case of the Ripper, he was a murderer. You don't think he can't defend himself no matter what? The lad who wrote the letter and signed Jack the Ripper, yes it sparked a name to these killings. But it was a very legitimate theory that one man did it all. Thus he only gave us a nickname to go off on. Even in the article, it claimed there was a German sailor who traveled to all three cities and was later executed after trying to run from a Ripper-esque murder. Thus, I do believe one man caused all the murders. They were too similar to be done separately. Because that one man was not named or caught, I shall use the name Jack the Ripper.

End of case.

Not that I haven't read all forty-three pages of this thread, but I've seen mainly Saturday crowd level discussions. Anybody been on Fridays lately? Are they terrible? I usually do Saturdays or Sundays...

Oh and if any of you hooligans are in the park tomorrow night PM me - love to drop by for a couple minutes to meet some of ya'll.

My biggest disappointment this year is that the "Dark Side of the Gardens" theme song was playing absolutely no where, and that there were no references to the lady of the gardens whatsoever.

I wouldn't say no references. They have her plastered all over the entrance before you actually enter the park. Once you get inside, you see her in some advertisements.

I think the main thing that ruined the event theme was new attractions. They were so busy with trying to shove it in peoples faces that pirates were coming to the park they had to over do it. As amazing as the San Marco bridge looks now, I still would have preferred the garden bridge decor. The announcements should have stayed the same and none of this stupid pirate crap. It would translate to an easy understanding of the events overall theme.

Its also pretty sad that they even changed Root of All Evil from the Lady in her gardens to an alien farm. Yes it made for a better house, but still destroyed the theme.

Dose any one know are they enforcing the pass holder must be present when used rule on 50% off Friday and Sunday admission for friends and family?

For future references in regards to Friday and Sunday crowds. Expect the park to be moderately busy to very busy depending on the weather. As it gets closer to Halloween, the Saturday crowds tend to spill over into Fridays and Sundays. The optimal time to visit would be early to mid October.

You can say the same thing for Christmas Town too. The weekend before Christmas can be pretty nutty.
