You know they give free fudge samples if you ask ;)

Yes. And if you hit this place at the right time, like let's say...final evening of HOS, you can get REALLY GOOD DEALS as they try to clear out the display cases. Unbelievable prices for the fudge last year. That is when I did partake in some mega-calories. Just sayin'... :p

P.S. Kitty, I don't recall if the apples were on discount too, but I imagine they were. A good deal on some big ole' Granny Smiths smothered in candy goodness is too good to pass up.

Any atendance predictions for Sunday based on the last few weeks? Leaving Harrisonburg at 7am, making the traditional Sonic run in Williamsburg then on to the park for the entire day. Haven't been since Father's Day, way to long to go without some Busch Gardens. Looking forward to a good day at the park. Hope the warm weather doesn't make for huge crowds on Sunday.

All things aside, the tombstone looks good. Love the etched coaster tree!

HOWLOSCREAM was good last night walked around with CK and did some houses, train, and gabbed. Finally did 13 wanna do it again. Not happy with winning tombstone I mean really.

Heading back to today have some group meet ups and also bringing a friend who has never been to HOWLOSCREAM or any amusement park type scare or haunt event.

Will update thoughts on HOS later, but looking forward to seeing some of you later and hanging out.

Also notice lots of change in the scare actors, and houses getting better from first weekend, but that's expected. Oh here finally got my pic taken again with my faves from BB, cuz I love the violin player

We went last night, and we had a blast!! My voice is very sore today from all the screaming. Root and CTC really got me. 13, bitten, Deadline, and catacombs got me good, but RoaE and CTC reaaly got me. I thought the Terror-tories were good, but very under staffed. In Port of Skulls I didn't see any pirates. I saw some vampires in VP, but not many, France was good, Ripper Row was the most staffed, but we didn't get scared because there are too many people going in the same direction. All in all, I thought it was a GREAT night!!!

WOWZERS. Back from BGT HoS, HHN, and more vacation going ons around Florida. Kinda bummed to be back in an area where the local large Halloween event is more like an Elementary School fundraiser. Uni HHN is by far the best in 5 years although the Cabin house was very mehhh IMO. BGT HoS once again delivered and by far better than last year. Now it is back to being stuck with that glitter fall fest in Williamsburg.

In Ripper Row why is there lines under everyone's eyes i don't get it

I always thought it was their make-up running because they were constantly crying? (I mean they lived in constant fear since they were always the targets) I remember this being a major motif in one the Ripper-esque movies. Could be completely wrong but that's my guess.

Also prostitutes, French and English, were always seen wearing extremely caked-on makeup, so that may play into it as well.

Hope this helps,

Sky

The terror-tories were surprisingly well-staffed tonight, especially Vampire Point. I also got to experience Ripper Row early before it was swamped by the 10 p.m. exit crowds. Excellent area. I liked the mix of plain startles ("I have the perfect coffin for you!") and actors that would simply talk and interact with guests, such as the police or the drunk woman. Scares aside, I also enjoyed the soundtrack peppered with atmospheric noises like whistles and footsteps. I would have appreciated more detail in the theming facades (Scotland Yard), but it's still my favorite terror-tory so far.
