So how bad has food at BGW gotten? Here are 2 pictures, same meal, 11 years apart, both at Howl-O-Scream. Of course the 2nd one took almost an hour and a half to get. To me, it represents the state of the park. Sad 😔

The food looks great in both pictures. I would totally eat that dish.

If someone’s already mentioned this, sorry about that, but went to HOS last night and absolutely everything was 50 percent off. HOS pins, tees, hats, decor, sweatshirts, notebooks, shot glasses, patches, kitchen towels, thermoses, and dozens more types of items. I didn’t see all this stuff earlier in the season and I certainly haven’t seen this much merch at any HOS event ever. It’s like they got a massive shipment in really late There was also more Pin styles then I noticed previously. I ended up getting a Killarney Diner pin for 10, a patch for 5, and a shot glass for 5. Would’ve gotten more, but I’ve gotta save for Christmas gift shopping.

Will Busch Gardens Williamsburg be uploading the promotional videos of their territories of Howl-O-Scream on their YouTube channel before this month ends or are they just doing trailers for the indoor attractions?

Gambled on going down Halloween Monday. Definite concerns that lots of people could decide they had to do something that night, but on the other hand the last time Sunday was Nov. 2, KD was closed that night and BG wasn't bad. Turned out a winner because crowds were slightly lighter than my previous visit Sept. 18. Only lines I saw were Verbolten and InvadR, which I skipped, and Pantheon was 26 minutes most of the night, although my first was 15, over an hour after opening.

I finding you can't really go weeks early to avoid the crowds, this was just so much better. Some was me, the actors were far better, and also crowds helped a lot. Favorite was a ~solo walkthrough of Nevermore, even a few actors came up behind me for a second pass. Not very scary but great to get attention, also the gorgeousness would have left a smile on my face anyway. Also noticed some actors would even yell, not painfully, but more than KD lately. I did find the scarezones tended towards actors talking among themselves though.

My frustration with these events this year was moderated by getting head of the line 2 Fridays in a row for Blood on the Bayou @KD, without getting sniped by Fright Laners. Another improvement between Sept. and the last night was 100% less babies being carried through mazes. I think the smallest kid I saw missed being able to ride Griffon by a millimeter.
