I agree, the two types of scare actors need to move around in the area. Although I didn't find any of the scares to be particularly bad..

I was looking at photos of the decorations distributed throughout the park as well as photos of wicked woods, Masquerage, sleepless hollow manor, last laugh industries, sea dog cemetery, and even cavern of darkness makes the list. What the hell has happened? I miss those days.

Favorite parental quote of the night: "It's okay, honey, they only scare teenagers!"

This family, consisting of a mom and three worried kids, the oldest probably being six or so, proceeded into Wendigo Woods. I was walking behind them the whole time.

Needless to say, by the time the kids reached the Rhinefeld bridge the mom was infuriated and all three kids were in tears, and one of them exclaimed, through tears, "I thought you said they only scared teenagers!"

^ Speaking of irresponsible parents, their was this little boy , about 7, over by the cursed cage who was crying and telling his mom that he was hot. I assumed he was sick. His mom was yelling at him to stop it and that he his embarrassing his family. She grad him and dragged him away. The dad with an infant with wtf look. smh

This may be unlated, what was the deal with the Catholic mass in the Abbey Stone theater? Was that just for yesterday?

I thought HOS was alright. I didn't enjoy it as much as I did last year. I was able to do all of the houses except for 13. I'll give more detailed thoughts and some pics later.

Yes, the "Catholic Mass" was taking up the Abbeystone for quite a few hours yesterday afternoon, so the first Fiends showing was at 11:30 and the second wasn't until 6:00. It didn't help that the park screwed up and put out the wrong show schedule for the day, so when we arrived in Killarney for what we thought was the 2:30 showing of Fiends, we were rather angry to see what was going on. This also threw off our entire schedule for the day and we ended wasting an hour of haunt time to wait for the 8:00 show instead.

They also seemed to have a catered dinner in FHP and were traveling throughout HOS in swarms. I mean really... what the hell? Why does the "Catholic Mass" need to hog the Abbeystone for a day? Why is this even a thing?

Should BGW be offering discounted tickets to members of a specific religion? You have to be a member of a Catholic Diocese in Virginia to get these discounts, during a major park event.

Who should attend the Virginia Catholic Youth Day?

Although the Office for Evangelization sponsors this event, it is open to all youth and families from across the Diocese. There is no age minimum or maximum.

There are three options available to all individuals this year to choose from which include:

  • All-inclusive ($55 per individual): Includes admission to the park (including Howl-O-Scream), Sunday Vigil Mass, and All-You-Can Eat Dinner Buffet
  • Single-Day Admission Ticket ($49 per individual): Includes admission to the park (including Howl-O-Scream) and Sunday Vigil Mass
  • All-You Can Eat Dinner Buffet ONLY ($10 per individual): Includes Sunday Vigil Mass, and All-You-Can Eat Dinner Buffet

I'm surprised no one pointed out that their event breakdown also claims the park closes at 12am, along with them saying HOS start at 8, instead of the usual 6.

Unless it was different yesterday?
