From The park's blog:

Wendigo Woods is Busch Gardens newest Terror-tory. Five heavily themed Terror-tories created around the park during Howl-O-Scream transport guests to a darker time and place. We can’t wait to kick-off the thrills and chills of Busch Gardens’ Halloween celebration on Sept. 12 at 6 p.m., so we’re declaring today Terror-story Tuesday and sharing with you the dire backstory behind Wendigo Woods.

“Day 13: I continue to be amazed by fantastic specimens here. This place is incredible, I could spend years out here studying the local flora and fauna. The only odd thing is, Tom’s bunk is untouched and nobody can remember seeing him for a few days,” reads a field journal lying amongst plant samples and field notes on abandoned desk in Wendigo Woods, a state-of-the-art research facility.

Named after a terrifying creature of legend, Wendigo Woods was designed to be a home base for scientists studying the plant-life of the northern reaches of the continent’s forests. One by one, researchers began disappearing into the forest never to return again.

“Day 38: We’ve lost four more researchers and it’s getting harder and harder to keep the other field teams calm. They keep claiming that they see something moving amongst the trees. I’ve called and requested help several times with no response.”

Now it seems the myth has come to life and is prowling the forest looking for its next victim.

“Day 45: Half of the team is now unaccounted for. We’ve found drag marks leading out into the woods and scratches on the trees around the camp. How many more have to be taken before help arrives?”

Rumor has it that a highly-trained security team is en route to Wendigo Woods. Their mission: track and contain the Wendigo creature before any more humans fall victim to its ravenous appetite…

Check back next week for another Terror-tory Terror-story during our Terror-story Tuesday celebration.

Pretty neato idea if you ask me.

This is just a guess, but I think that they will probably put a façade around the bus. I haven't really paid much attention to whether or not it can be disassembled and/or moved. Either way, I heard that it took them a while to build it. Maybe Scotland Yard police station can be moved there, or they could have a Sweeney Todd style "pie shop".

It is being moved. It was built off site. They moved it in with a forklift and can move it out the same way.

it was assembled on site....it's three pieces. It came into banbury in three pieces. It will be taken out for hos and probably put back in for cmt

Also...no scotland yard this year kiddos

Fountains are meant to be sat upon, particularly in Europe. What they have done to that statue breaks my hear. What they have done to that clock makes me want to cry.

^I can't tell if that gif is related to the puns or the fountains. lol

I'm not digging the fountain personally, but we all know what we said last year when the facade was first put up, and when we experienced it and loved it. I just fail to see the need for the stage. I feel like it's gonna cut into the traffic even more.

Wait I don't get it. What did they do to the statue? It still looks the same as it always has.

I hope they make the clock tower look badass to make up for the damaged figures.

Am I the only one that's not worried about the fountain? They take it down every Christmas Town to put up the North Pole, and it returns fine. I don't think we can assume things are going to be broken when they are taken down, the clock figures are a rare case. I think what we should worry about is all the other stuff that gets taken down for special events, and never gets put back up.

I don't think the stage is going to cause any more traffic issues since about 90% of the fountain was included in the fenced off area that was part of Blood Banquet last season.

I don't think it was 90%, but it was at least 50% included. Either way it did feel more crowded it with it fenced in as it was, and putting a stage over the fountain probably means that they're gonna add even more fence to it. That's all I was thinking about. :/

The fountain was 100% included in the dining area last year. There will be no more area taken up this year than what was last year.
