Even an age restriction would be useless unless the park makes the event straight up hard ticket like most other Haunt events.

And unless you straight up ask every parent with a kid how old their child is, you'll still have kids roaming the park during the event regardless.

Once they got rid of the pumpkin ratings they never issued any warnings for show except Fiends.

I'm not saying the warnings are going to do any good, but the fact that they are issuing a warning for Monster Stomp should give you an idea that the park feels this show could potentially have the same level of content as Fiends, or worse?

I see your point now! I don't like the idea of it being like Fiends :(

Oh I agree. But people tend to hesitate a bit more when they see an "age restriction" compared to a "warning". Cause, "Murica.

I don't think MSoRR has a warning because of skimpy clothing, I think it mainly pertains to the violent killing and murder and very nature of Jack the Ripper.

It's like this, your in a theater where it can get pitch black and the show is about a violent murderer. Special effects can be used. This sounds like it can be potentially the most scariest show the park has ever produced.

As long as they don't tone it down like they did to the actual Ripper Row last year, I'll be fine.

Using the Pirates effects for Monster Stomp to produce scares would be awesome if done right. I loved how the park reused the effects for LR.

Why would Busch put an age limit when that would only make their staggering attendance numbers worse? They're better off just making the event scarier (if they could even pull that off) and let [sarcasm] highly responsible [/sarcasm] parents realize if the event is too scary for their child. Because once you start making decisions for your guests your looking at a huge cut in attendance.

I agree about the effects on LR it really made it feel like a three dimensional show.
I hoping this show has comedy like MSR but I doubt it. Also I hope the park keeps the tradition going and brings back the skeletons.

As long as they don't use water, that's fine. Also, projection mapping technology will be used.
Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if they re-use the cell phone joke to go with the theme.

I'm a parent of 2 (DD-16, DS-7) and we've taken both of them to HOS since they were babies. That being said I never got upset if they were scared by the actors (which didn't happen often) because I chose to take them. But we NEVER took them into the houses because we felt it wasn't appropriate and it would take away from the experience of the other guests. I don't think they should put an age restriction on the event, but I honestly don't have an idea for an alternative. But that is just my opinion. I personally don't like to see little ones clinging to their parents in terror and their parents forcing them into the houses or through the park. If my children were even the slightest bit scared we'd leave. I guess we can't expect everyone to heed warnings or suggestions.

I think they will just play it safe. Not much needs to change depending on the costume design. That being said, they have created new scares with only a few weeks to spare. Some of them turned out fine though (Scavengers, and any "back-burner" ideas during disappointing events) .

Ahh, my internet nerds. It has been some time. Count Vlad is back to grace nerds with presence. Why has nobody talk about best new addition to park this year, Vampire Vogue.

Step into Vampire Vogue™ and a world of bedazzling jewelry, haunting haute couture and bewitching decorations suitable for any crypt, coffin or castle. There’s something for every stylish vampire … or victim. Being undead has never been quite so fashionable.

Now nerds can be stylish as Count Vlad

I go out of town for 5 days and i miss all the cool announcements! I'm thrilled beyond measure monster stomp is coming back, and wendigo woods sounds awesome! And I'll be sure to visit vampire vogue, Vlad, it sounds like a ghoulish delight! Plus, I would drain the blood out of a hundred people to look half as good as you! On a more serious note, I'm going into the event with(like always) an open mind, because I was originally thrilled for LR, and then...well you know the rest.

Did I say something wrong here??

Nope, you just caught the first of MANY complaints of it being too scary and how unfair it is that they (BG) scare their child even though they are still in the park at 6pm. This just ties in with my earlier post: If you're scared or know your children will be scared then LEAVE! It's not the parks responsibility to parent you or your child.
