I just saw an interesting picture about ripper row on Instagram. Can anyone go fetch it for me, I have no idea how to. If anyone could go get that, that would be great, thanks!
Is this the pic you were talking about

Yes thank you!

And maybe the lack of sidewalk space will encourage the strollers to leave before the HOS crowds arrive.

People may dismiss this...and maybe, in this case, they're right....but this reminds me of something when I lived in Canada.

The county wanted people to recycle. Now, here, in the States, if the county wants you to recycle, they'll be proactive: they'll punish you if you refuse to do it. Put recyclables in the trash? $50. Stuff like that. In Canada, however, they tried a different approach: if you put recyclables in the trash, they didn't take the trash. The dump was still open -- you were welcome to take it yourself, but the county wouldn't pick it up.

How does this apply to strollers? Well, maybe we've been going about it the wrong way. All of the solutions proposed to this point involved proactive responses. Ban the strollers or kick people out or make them pay more....but what about the Canadian approach? What about making it uncomfortable and inconvenient for people to bring their strollers, by putting path obstructions like this?

Could be on to something (if you want to get rid of the strollers...which I'm not sure is a great idea...but that's another discussion).

No problem. So what would be the best show to see first? I really wish MONSTERSTOMP was already back, I really enjoyed the knife drummers, and it was very well put on live singing.

I also wonder why couldn't they use the area near LeScoot and do a walk thru scare, I see little path thru there. I believe that would be perfect like a scare zone you have natural landscaping and easy to hide there to jump out. Like call it New France Fear Forest, or something and you could usually give a storyline about hunters that go in to get their meat but never come out its BGW CURSED COUNTRY. Just a thought

Based on what I've seen I think Ripper Row, and Port of Skull will be pretty cool. I don't think I can say that about the other two, however we'll see what they do with Vampire point. However, from what I saw last Saturday, they're going to have to pull off a miracle to make it nice.

Just for those who did not see, Busch Gardens VA posted a bunch of pictures (I believe 28 pictures) to the "Howl-O-Scream 2013 Sneak Peaks" Album. Some really cool pics.

Last year when we went there was a QQ pass just for the haunted houses. It wasn't on the site but you could get it at the park. Does anyone know if they are going to be doing that again this year and how much? I can't remember how much it was last year.

Since no one else has answered...

I'm not sure about a house-only QQ, but regular HOS QQ (that include some rides, as well) are available on the HOS website.

I guess you can call and ask about the others?

Thank you. Last year the house QQ was only advertised in the park. Guess we will find out Sunday when we go. :-D

I've been able to do all houses without the quick queue. It takes some proper planning and knowing where the houses are located.

Busch Gardens posted this as a comment on their photo update.

Our Howl-O-Scream attractions, including our roaming scare squad and haunted houses, will begin at 6 p.m.

I saw just that. I didn't think their was going to be any roaming hordes this year.

The roamers wil most likely be the people walking the pathways.

as for Saturday, I'd recommend getting rides and shows in early on, then hit up a maze before the event begins. Do as many mazes as you can. Scare zones shouldn't be an issue outside of any potential bottlenecking on the pathways. The crowds actually do tend to clear out before the end of the night so I'd save a maze for last too.

If you're going on a Sat, I'd also recommend QQ if you wanna make the most out of your trip.

Again why does everyone immediately think "Ooh big prop! Bottlenecking!"

I will admit that the garden thing is possibly going to cause some issues, but the promise you the Scotland Yard takes up no main pathway space but maybe 5 feet at most. The only thing to cause bottlenecking is nothing but this thing.

EDIT: Demon Street has undergone some improvements in regards to those Hot Wheels banners, they are now just plain red and black banners and do not depict flames. Or at least that is what it looked like from my view.

QQ is a must for HOS one-timers. I only go once a season, and without QQ, it would be crappy.

Totally agree. I go once a year and I always get the QQ.

Those lines scare me more that the mazes.

I came across these old Howl-O-Scream pictures from 2008! The event was great back then, but it still is fun with a big group of friends. ENJOY:D (Please note, I do not know if these images have already been shown here.) Busch Gardens Williamsburg Howl-O-Scream 2008
Nice find, thanks for sharing! I like those pictures of Piratical Purgatory, and those images of Wicked Woods are cool, too. I thought something was interesting about this one, though:

Ripper Row may not be as new of a name as we had thought, but something completely different?
