I wouldn't focus too much on Festa Italia- it may be getting the only new house, but there are much larger stories around the rest of the park.

I highly doubt that is the case. As smart as that is, I think that is way beyond the park's line of thinking. That and Zach typically does numerous confirmations to ensure its a consistent piece of information; or at least I assume thats how Zach works.
But honestly, I don't think we get misinformation so the park can see reactions. We might get misinformation to throw us off though. But I think most of the time, we get info and the park changes their mind on something. I don't ever think it is on purpose.

They have been doing that the past few years somewhat. But considering the "pirate" maze is something they are doing last minute, I highly doubt they cool pull off amazing theming in Festa as well as in the maze itself.

Ah CK, that is only the beginning. And might I add the grid of wire they have in the sky is much more organized and neat than in previous year where it looks like random wire going every which way.

Just going to throw this out there but; BGW is the pioneer park. Always trying to be ahead of the curve and try out the things that might do well. After all they started HOS first and CT first. Who is to say that, I don't know, but perhaps they developed a new way to do pathway scares?

Nah, I don't think that's what we're seeing here- I actually think the truth is considerably more interesting. I'll save my theories for now, but I'll have a lot to write about if things turn out like they're planned. This year's Howl-O-Scream is shaping up to be a very, very interesting event- not because the attractions will be particularly good, but because of the direction the event is moving. There's the small story of what this year's event will look like, but then there's the bigger story of what the next five Howl-O-Screams will look like if this year works.

The park has never been able to make path scares work. They've tried three completely different setups over the last three years. All of them flopped.
2010: The Scare is Everywhere (Loosely themed unmarked scare zones)
2011: Scare Zones (Very heavily themed, strictly marked scare zones)
2012: Hordes (Roaming actors with loosely themed scare zones throughout)
It's time for a change. I think the park knows this and is trying something new.

That is what I am saying. Although doing one year of each thing is kind've not so much a good testing ground. I suggest they try to same things for at least three years each and see how they can deal with things.
But all in all, I think this is an interesting pattern, each year the park does something different?
