RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013: Fear Has a Way of Spreading
Perhaps we should be looking at this another way. All this time we've been saying that Howl o Scream will suck this year. Really, we should be looking into the future. True, things do look grim. Yet I think we still might enjoy this year.
Reality does suck some time, and the reality here is that due to whatever reasons, we're going to see a lower quality event this year. Our sources know this: the shows are returning, as well as the previous houses minus a Fear Fair replacement. Could the park do much better, of course. Killarney Kommotion might point in the direction of the future of the park's shows, but as long as the show quality is the same as last year, I will be happy. Everybody liked most of the shows (more or less), so I hope Scott gives them that sort of attention this year. Really, I have some hope for the shows.
Igor, of all people should return this year. Shame upon those who would terminate his position.
Also, as long as they don't bow to the prudes with the content in Fiends, I will be somewhat happy as well.
Terror, the heart of Howl-o-Scream, is what is probably going to be lacking this year. Of course, we already know that there will be no path scares. Our understanding is that this new house will be terribly themed and thrown together at the last second. Let's hope that the park is able to pull something out of their asses.
edit: Looks like this might be my 2,500th post. I should do something to celebrate...
