You are dragging me down Zachary!! Was so looking forward to clowns.

I wouldn't rule any theme out for the house just yet. A "new" clown house could be an option- I honestly don't know and, as far as I can tell, neither does the park.

This is a golden chance for the park to bring back a loved house like Masquarage.

The greatest thing about that, is the fact that they never got to finish the maze as originally planned! They supposedly had much bigger/better ideas in mind for the maze, but they drastically cut the budget in the middle of construction, because they had just then realized it was too close to another maze, and would cause bottle-necking. I would be interested to see what they could do with it if they had the right amount of money and space. However, unless they already invested in all the set pieces/props, I doubt they could afford it at all now.

Sleepless Hallow Manor and Wicked Woods were great as well. Just please don't bring Cursed back :(

How did Sleepless Hollow Manor compare to Bitten? I don't remember that one too well. Did any of it use the same set pieces?

Bring back Never Ever After!

I saw a youtube video of the ghost train over the weekend. I never had the chance to do it but I wish I did. Looks like alot of fun.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

The haunted train was fun. The biggest problem was that no matter what they did, it could NEVER be fun enough to warrant the four hour wait it was getting. Combine that with the sheer number of people required to do anything worthwhile, and bye bye train.

Something like the "Haunted Train" might make for a good up-charge extra. You know, like the "Dining with Elmo" thing. Go online and make a reservation. Let's say it costs about $10 bucks; complete with exclusive HAUNTED TRAIN Boarding Pass souvenir. I'd definitely get that as an extra; a round-trip around the park with scares everywhere. Starts & ends at the Caribou Station.
Train could run as usual during the day time, and just like everything else, at 6pm it gets SCARY (that's when the reservations start)!! Too bad it would essentially be shutting down a transportation attraction. I love the train, but we survive IllumiNights without it at night, so maybe it would be OK. Yup, that's my little dream. Don't hate! :p

Masquarage was my favorite maze of all time. I'd be one happy camper if it came back

And had cool T-shirts to boot!

Just tossing this out there while we're on the topic of previous Howl-O-Scream attractions: What do you people think of a Sea Dog Cemetery reboot?

Sea Dog Cemetery also awesomeness (when at the petting zoo).

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

Problem with Haunted train as an up charge is that the train is too big of an attraction to put as an up charge. Nobody really misses O'Sullivan, but make the train pay only and people are going to be upset.

It actually is...

Wall panels for 13 are being installed
I thought it would be better to put this here.
This house better be so detailed, that it will make me want to stare at the walls. I know people are going to be very disappointed if it's just the same as last year. Unless they plan on putting more effort into the detail, I think the only reason they are doing it this so early is for budget/time constraints. Hopefully, this will give them time to put more thought and planning into a brand-new haunted attraction for this year. Like I said earlier, I would love for them to do a revamp of Masquerage. Since they are now, yet again, striking the set for Fear Fair, I would love to see them do this with that area. Masquerage had so much potential, however, they basically stopped in the middle of construction, because they had realized that it was too close to another haunted attraction. That's the only reason it lasted for just one year. I am really hoping that the scare zones will return this year, especially since we've heard that there will be no more roaming hordes. I thought it was a very bad decision for them to do away with the scare zones last year, right after they had shown that they actually know how to do a proper scare zone.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

It will not. 13 was one of the worst houses yet rated one of the highest, the park doesn't see anything wrong, so they're going keep it sub-standard.

At least they took a risk, you can't learn unless you try. :) The clowns were the really good horde. The werewolves, the chainsaw guys, and some of the zombies were not so good. I would LOVE for them to bring back scare zones, but at least they took a risk.

I am just making a wild guess here, but what if the park made a "fake" howl-o-scream website? What if they are teasing us with what houses are returning? Maybe they are completely scrapping 13 for a new house (maybe bringing back Cavern of Darkness). I am just tryin g to change perspective on this one. :)

We don't need to give the park an excuse to destroy their best queue, do we? :p

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

No- I mean fog and creepy lighting... just more for atmosphere. I always thought using the movie "The Fog" as a reference for Scotland would be quite scary.

Besides.. adding something in Nessie's tunnel just for Howl-O-Scream would be a great way to lure guests to ride the Loch Ness at night.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

The 1980 version of the movie that is! Here is a screenshot of the film.
