RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

Assuming ROAE and Fear Fair are gone now, chances are those two spots will be free for new mazes in the coming years. Bringing two mazes back to the DF/Festhaus Park sounds like a cool idea.

Trading Post gift shop still seems kinda small for maze space It would probably have to be a relatively short maze for anything to fit back there unless they utilize some backstage area for part of the maze (and I'm not 100% on what backstage stuff they can use).

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

They have utilized that Trading Post shop for heated the last couple of years during Christmastown, and yeah it would seem to be small for a maze. But here is an out there idea...could the park utilize Le Scoot's area somehow?

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

I think that would be a neat area, not sure exactly where it would be placed though. What about a maze where the boat ride is?

Both of these have been pointed out as possible locations in the past and I think both of them are very good locations. I'd think that the Rhine River Cruise area in particular would be a much better location than the area behind DarKastle. Le Scoot suffers from a simular problem to EitA (lack of flexibility), but I still think it would be quite a nice location. Der Autobahn are an interesting option as well. Very flexible and pretty large as well.

Ok..sorry if I am repeating things.

Roman Rapids' queue is used as an overflow queue for Fear Fair. Often the biggest problem with potential house locations is the lack of room for a long enough queue area.

True, but I think the aim should be to have a house in each village. That is my opinion though.

I doubt the rhine river location, only because it would be a pain and a half... But would be EXCELLENT nonetheless.

There are the obvious issues to deal with, but what about NATURE TRAIL TO HELL using the pathways in the Jack Hannah Reserve area. Nice twisting pathways with bushes and trees. Lots of scare opportunities.

RE: Howl-O-Scream 2013

I'm wondering if there is queue space for that outside of the current park area, Chicken King because the line for Fiends can go all the way back to the train tracks and so might be in the way. I am still holding out hope for another haunted train which would enormously help with the line balance problem. I know it's really difficult to successfully haunt such a long stretch of territory. I'm thinking they should try another narrated story but one that's a lot scarier and perhaps more interactive than the last one. Remember the Sleepy Hollow train ride that told a story and had the people in the freaky masks dancing in the Scotland station and culminated with Jack at the end of the ride? Well, that was back in the days when Busch was still trying an uneasy truce between having adult content and accommodating children. Now that we don't care about coddling children any more :p I'm thinking they could do a much scarier story and enact scenes along the way and perhaps even stop in the Scotland and/or Festa stations for an on-board fright. The line space in Le Scoot and Eagle's Nest (is that what it's called?) is there and has been used before. It doesn't need to have an enormous staff if the story is good, but it would require a good bit of scenery.

What about a "Haunted Land of the Dragons." :p it could work since it closes early anyway.[/quote]
