ok first, chris, i stayed and asked the guy a few questions and ended up missing you guys because of it... i regret that but i took a bunch of pics and made videos for my brother, he couldnt make it so i was trying to show him what he missed, i'll probably post them in the pictures/video thread...

ok, on to my main point, after the announcement i walked to the center of the Q&A area and asked the guy a few questions, i dont remember word for word what he said but i'll paraphrase here, so here goes

1. Will there be any Behind The Scenes for HOS
1A. Yes, there will be "multiple" BTS tours for HOS, whether that was 2 or 20 he didnt specify
2. What is the difference between Harvest Hollow SZ and Harvest Hollow Maze
2A. It is a maze in and of it self and will be bigger and have more to it then in years previous
3. What will be sold in the HOS Store other than general shirts and such
3A. (honestly i was dissapointed with the answer, especially since he called another guy over and asked him too) the store's merchandise should be veiwable from the website...

any ways, i'll try and get those videos up, though they do have commentary like i said, trying to describe everything for my brother, hopefully it will satisfy as your vids/pics have...

Guess what? The rats squeak. Every time Fur Dozy and I walked through France we tried to squeak as many rats as we could. Mature, no. Fun, yes.

i wanna squeak one:shocked:, oh well, i hope they get everything done the end of this week, they still have the webs to do but they can do it cause their awesome like that:p

So i was walking through the park today and i noticed around loriketts glen and the highland stables there were several thick steel wires from tree to tree. Have these been here or could they be for howl o scream? Could there be actors ziplining over the crowds?

Some more pics of HOS theming:

So, is the themeing okay so far? It's not done, but I think it was a good preview of next week. ;)

LoveDoc, I'm glad that some areas which hadn't gotten a lot of theming before are getting them now. My only comments are for those rats and birds. There's only so many you can have for it to still look realistic, It appears the BGW Crew has gone bonkers with the amount of rats and birds they put. And the fact that in some areas the rats are going in lines on the walls doesn't look very realistic. Rats don't move in lines, they move in scurrying packs.

Was there a Monster Stomp preview night?

And Wings, shut up! It all looks AMAZING. The rats and birds- everything, it all looks great and extremely realistic, and I love that there are SO many of them.
It's not supposed to look like your every day street with just a few black birds or whatever- it's supposed to be extreme and dramatic and crazy just as how they did it.
That's what makes it scary.
Great job Busch! :D
Can't wait for Friday.

Yeah, I think the theming is awesome. Wings, ever seen "The Birds"? One comment I kept hearing about the rats is that they're upside down, but clearly that's because they are heavier than the other side of the rope, so gravity takes over.

I think the theming is great thus far. I'm looking forward to seeing how the rest comes out.

All I'm saying is that there is a certain amount which is TOO much xP

I had this whole diatribe typed and and before I hit 'Post', it deleted itself ... ARGH.

Hey there, Wings! Did you know there are some species of Rattus that actually travel in long lines when foraging for food over great distances? When they get close to their destination, they fan out and forage for their food. Some of these species are actually found in Western Europe (and Northern Africa) and are more common in the lesser-economic areas. Working for a company that has so many ties to animal handlers and databases has it's privileges at times. ;) While it's not common to see as many rats running around as you see in Aquitaine this time of the year, it's just a gross (very gross, imo) exaggeration of the theme for entertainment purposes. Of course the same goes for the ravens in England, as well. Do rest assured, though - while a bit excessive, some species of rats actually do climb walls (as long as it's not a smooth wall, that is) and run across power/telephone lines in search for their next meal. Let's just hope that the next meal they find isn't your body!

As for Chris's comment on the upside rats .. yeah, well ... gravity is a beast sometimes. There is a fix for that, but I highly doubt it'll be prioritized any time soon with the other stuff going on this week. :)

Plus, I'm not one that goes to a haunt and anticipates realism. I expect over the top theming, I mean, there's vampires and werewolves. It's called the willing suspension of disbelief.
