I also wish we were able to find out what the Original Ireland soundtrack was. It has changed many times over the years and I don't think much of it is accurate now

I did Killarney a few years back and listed it HERE.

It has been this for a while, but it would be interesting to know how it changed over the years. Trip to Sligo by Dervish and Heaven Knows by The Corrs are at least 2008 releases, I believe. So certainly not original to Killarney's debut. But, I'm also not familiar with any tunes newer than 2008 on that list.

FYI, this is the longest soundtrack in the park. Some of the Hamlets have very short soundtracks. I'm looking at you Heatherdowns.

EDIT: These changes and the changes in San Marco makes me wonder who has control of the Hamlet music or decides when and what changes are made.

I've wondered who is in charge of music at BGW too. I suspect Entertainment has a lot of say in it because of the horrible London Road soundtrack in Banbury, or the pop music during Illuminights.

At Kings Dominion, I think maintenance is actually in charge of the park's soundtrack, which explains a lot. When I wrote them inquiring about the music in Candy Apple Grove, I was forwarded to the Maintenance Department and had a discussion with them.

So I guess it varies from park to park.

Yes. Music is all under Entertainment. I don't even know if they currently have a musical director. Lately, their show music has been contracted out to Alan Zachary and Michael Weiner.

The two composers have a very Disney-esque sound, because they have arranged for Disney. Also, they tend to cite Alan Menken as their main inspiration.

Ottorino Respighi's Feste Romane - Circus Games
Montagues and the Capulets" from Prokofiev's Romeo and Juliet Ballet
I know posted this 3 years ago, but I've gone every year since 2010 over Memorial Day and last year was the first year I don't remember them playing "Auld Lang Syne" as we walked out at the end of the night.

I know for sure they play it (frequently) in Scotland and Ireland every time I've been there the last few times, save HoS. I can't say for sure if it was played during last Memorial Day but every time I hear it I casually tell passing strangers happy new year.

I haven't ridden the train recently, but I heard in the background of one of the Invadr clearing videos the music that played outside the park in the ticketing area in 2013.

Do we really need a quote within a quote within a quote? You can edit before you post...

That being said, I own the entire soundtrack. Had to hunt down long discontinued CD's on eBay and other outlets.

That was the only option for the longest time with some albums. For example; the German songs by The Original Oberkrainer were slow to come out in digital format. Previously the only Oktoberfest song missing from my playlist was "Wenn der Opa mit der Oma tanzt" (none of the others by them play anymore except Schöne Urlaubszeit).

Later it was released in the German iTunes store only, but it is now available on US iTunes and Apple Music.

They play Ottorino Respighi's Feste Romane (Roman Festivals) on the pathway around Escape from Pompeii.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M9xK11ed35U

For some reason when this song actually plays in the pompeii area it sounds like its a half step higher than what I heard in this video. Does anyone know why?

maybe different versions or someone might have messed with the pitch/frequency in that video to get past YouTube copyright laws etc
