Personally hoping Great Adventure doesn't get AFO just because they've decided (for reasons I don't understand) that they're keeping that awful name. A few things on here are interesting though, that western themed dark ride? sign me up. Justice League is objectively bad and in poor shape, could honestly care less if it sticks around. Houdini is great but in poor shape and I just don't trust Six Flags to keep it around. Having a dark ride of a similar quality to the new Phantom Theater at KI as the center of a Frontier Adventures renovation would be incredible. Could go in the old arena spot as phase one, then a Medusa replacement (vekoma tilt anyone?) could be phase 2 and all of a sudden that area is a lot more filled out.

It is nice that they are considering a flying theater, since you dont usually see attractions like that at a park like this. I don't know if GAdv needs it but Ive floated a themed one going to a park like Cedar Point. They don't have any sort of indoor ride anymore
Would love to see a flying theater in the plaza de carvel! Imagine how cool it would be to glide over Central America! They can showcase all the different countries and make an immersive family attraction. Definitely taking advantage of the current well themed area.

Whats wrong with the name? Nothing....

Don't throw stones when you live in a glass house lol.... We have 2 batman themed rides, one with Flash, one with Joker and one with Superman. It doesn't get much worse than than.

I still wonder what the hell SFNE would’ve done about Batman - The Dark Knight if their Dark Knight had actually opened.

well, they renamed batman the ride to batman the ride for a short time when dark knight coaster Was being contructed but renamed back to batman: the dark knight after the dark knight coaster was cancelled and moved to mexico

What’s wrong with the name is that it’s named after the owners of a different park chain. Not to mention it was already a kinda corny name at Fun Spot. And yeah those names are bad but isn’t part of having this whole new leadership team about raising our standards for the park? If they want to give this ride a proper retheme and new name I’d welcome it but I don’t want it ruining the vibe of the boardwalk which is now one of the better themed areas of the park.

I mean I feel like there are ways you can mask the name into the theme of the boardwalk, Jersey has air shows on the shore for July 4th, it’s a red white and blue color scheme. Maybe you can add a scream machine tagline to the ride name and try to market it as the return of the great American scream machine.

I just really don’t think this park should pass up on such a world class ride because of the name requirement. Having ridden it earlier this year it would easily be up there with El Toro (I still take Toro over it but I know that it’s ranked above it on many lists). Especially if getting this ride doesn’t change the plans the park has for future expansion, and instead is slotted in as a bonus (like flash).

Goldmine. The park cannot just pass on this opportunity of AF1. Great American Scream Machine reliving through AF1 would be perfect.

Also funny that 2 decades later from Ka and Toro opening up aside each other in 2005 and 2006, there's a realistic possibility of a parallel between Bakunawa in 2027 and AF1 in 2028?

I totally agree! Shoreline is generic enough and can easily fit as a nautical naval base or air show over the beach! Lots it potential theming in the que to match the Jersey shore theme. Can include history of NJ naval bases as well. American scream machine would be a great tribute. This will be the first normal original thrill since Eltoro from 2006! Would be a fantastic fit along with BAK Eltoro Nitro would make the park line up pretty elite and would compete with Hershey park.

I find it impossible to say whether I want my park to get AFO or not because I'd have to know what effect it'd have on the existing long-term plans for the park. If the deal is GAdv can have AFO but it means we don't get one of a family woodie or a Vekoma we are otherwise basically planning to add over the next 10 years, then I'd say let another park get AFO. But if it's in addition to those other long-term coaster plans, then I'm doing backflips to get AFO and figuring out where to fit it in. The name thing is ridiculous, but you can call it AFO or Gargantuan Vertical Velocity and I'll still ride the sh*t out of it if it's at my park because it's one of the best rides there is.

I'm 99 percent sure it's using info from the Six Flags app. I recently downloaded it, created a login with personal email, and chose Carowinds as my home park. The survey came to that email address and had Carowinds as my home park.
I created an account using the app too. Not sure what's up then.

I can't imagine that survey being relevant to Great Adventure outside of a potential AF1 relocation. We don't need another similar inverted coaster, or single rail, or floorless.

Medusa, Batman, Jersey Devil, etc...

I wish we could get a Thrill Glider.
I said over in the Thrill Glider thread I'd love one that starts either in the Pine Barrens or Frontier Adventures.

If the latter, replace the Safari Station's current orientation and run up parallel to the road.

If permittable, send it out over the edge if the lake by Log Fluke and run down along the water as much as possible.

If Pine Barrens, start up near Jersey Devil then run out behind the lake Lakefront side.

Not sure if it's permittable, but it'd be so cool if it could.

So my take on the company wide AI slopfest survey is they are trying to figure out which rides would be a boos in certain places, which ones people hate so they can put it in lesser parks. That's why they're all the same - its basically ranked choice voting for what ends up where.

I'm almost tempted to setup accounts for every park to sabotage results. /s
