Does anyone think Aquaphobia would be the official name for this upcoming Ultra Surf coaster? I've heard that the name was likely getting some attention at the very least due to how it's memorable to say it.

Still pulling for Iron Splash: The Surf Coaster personally. Have they made any announcement as per when to expect to hear the official name?
I asked SFOG on Twitter a few weeks ago about when will they announce the official name of the ride. They replied to me by saying that it would be revealed soon. Now I don't when will it be announced because my intention was to originally ask them that if there was going to be an annimated concept of the ride showcasing its launches and the water effects it has with its official name once it's been revealed like we've seen in the announcement video Six Flags used to do every year. Currently in my opinion, I honestly like the ride be named "Aquaphobia"

Having a ride named Acrophobia and Aquaphobia in the same park would cause some confusion.

The intresting origin of SFOG's Ultra Surf coaster

Intamin originally announced this attraction in July 2021 along with their Surfrider 2.0 model as a part of their #IntaminSurfFamily tagline with these models. It wouldn't be that long until a park somewhere around the world bought the Ultra Surf. The amusement park that originally purchased the attraction was called Nava World Phan Thiet in Vietnam. This ment that the Ultra Surf was originally supposed to go to an Aumusement park in Vietnam. Everything was fabbricated alongside with the park buldozing the land in preparation to receive the roller coaster in the area where it's was going to be located. Construction for the ride was suddenly halted due to the park focousing the water park rather than amusement park side of the entire property. Because of that, Six Flags suddenly had a last minute decision and bought the attraction and sent it to their Atlanta based amusement park as Six Flags Over Georgia. It would be revealed at their Coaster Fest event during a presentation the park hosted on August 19. The ride does not have an official name yet because ever since late August, the park let the GP choose a name for it. It's possible for an name of the Ultra Surf to get officially announced in early 2024 after they replied to a few comments on Twitter that asked them if they had officially announced a name for the ride. The 3 names the were on their voting poll in October were "Aquaphobia", "Georgia Surfer", and "Iron Splash: The Surf Coaster." Delivery of ride has arrived to the park over the weekend in order to start construction in the area where the old Shoot the Chute ride "Splashwater Falls" was once located for a planned summer 2024 debut. The supports are orange rather than having a yellowish hue in the concept art

I was really hoping this would be called "Liquidation"

i enjoyed the two intamin half-pipes I rode, both of the nickelodeon ones.. they have no business being as much fun as they are, so Georgia Surfer should be a very fun coaster

This might be one of the 3-4 best rides in the park. I honestly can't wait to take this thing for a spin. Looks MUCH better than Aquaman honestly. I also personally enjoy the Georgia Surfer name it fits at this park and they just got rid of Georgia Cyclone a few years back. I just wish this park was ran a bit better it's nice and I enjoy it and the lineup of attractions. I saw some of the most bizarre shit I've ever seen from park staff there.
