The only bright spot I can think of is as someone who doesn't go to Water Country, the crowds may be slightly smaller at BGW?

This statement makes me so... frustrated. Pleasing pass members (i.e., the park's most loyal customers) should be a priority for any park. You realize what they're doing, right? They've essentially removed a major benefit for pass members, but still expect them to pay the same astronomic price, plus twelve dollars now.
Yea, but that's the way this ship is sinking. While I agree with you about how the pass members should be the priority, business is business dude.
I think it's a good idea that they're doing this with water parks and their theme parks to attract more people. And while you may not like it, it's a good promotion for the park.
I don't think you understand what's happening, Jonathan. They're basically giving away free admission to the water park, for a much a lower price than what pass members pay. Tell me how the park makes money by letting people in the parks for free? I never buy more than a single meal at WCUSA, if I even decide to eat there at all, so I doubt they're making much money off in-park sales. So now, instead of requiring folks to pay for admission or making them become a pass member to enter, they're just letting people through the gates without paying an extra dime.
I'm not sure why you're being so sarcastic either... you knew as well as everybody else that a price raise was coming.

A fun card is still a pass member, just the lowest you can be. While this may not be everybody's preference, I'm fine with a free water park option with BGT. And even if I went to WCUSA, I would still find this intriguing.

This is so wrong I really do not know where to begin.
Fun Cards are NOT passes! They NEVER were and hopefully NEVER will be. Do you know why they are not passes? Because the park doesn't classify them as passes and they are no where near the basic idea of a pass.
Let me start by saying when you go to the park's website, scroll over Buy Tickets & Passes and you will see that Fun Cards are listed under tickets. The Fun Card is nothing more than a multi-day ticket option. The park doesn't classify it as a pass, nor should anyone else. If it were a pass it would be called the Fun Pass, but it's not! It's a Fun Card.
Next, all passes meet basic criteria. They all offer admission for an entire year (12 months) or for the parks normal operating season. They all offer benefits of some kind. Parking, Merch, Food, something. Fun Card holders aren't even invited to Pass Member events.
I am not going to trash on this deal because it is just that, an amazing deal. It has it's drawbacks, but its great for any non-daily visitor. The only thing I truly hate about this is that it packs more people in the park, especially in a water park that is already typically packed every day.

I rarely jump into these arguments but by GIVING Fun Card holders a major park perk (free admission) they have essentially become passes. Don't try to sugarcoat this.
