That's the problem with entertainment department leaks. Things change so quickly that trying to keep up with the stuff can be a nightmare. Sources started pouring in over the weekend saying that things were getting cut but I wasn't expecting the entire extension to be nuked. :(

Yes, I am sorry, the other day I passed by ALL of the equipment for the crepes was removed, then I went by today and SOME of the equipment was replaced.

I was in the park today. Italy was there, and had the caprese salads and other items. Greece was stocking ice when I passed at 11:30 or so. Later they appeared to be selling pita something or other.

Also, and more curious to me, Belgium was open and had a sign in front advertising "Sangriaville" with hawaiian skewers, Mojitos, and Sangria.

Can't help but notice that F&WF items that were priced at whole dollar amounts, like $3.00, have disappeared. If they were priced with .49 or .99, they may stay put on the regular menu. I was wondering about certain things I saw like this during the Festival, especially in Italy. Is this correct?

The food served at Italy was not nessacarily there for the F&WF, they just happened to continue to serve it while the festival was going on. That was the main reason why those particular items stayed, although I would assume that the F&WF items that did stay may stay just because.

(sorry for the 90 degree rotate, posting from my phone)

I talked to Sangraville folks about this. This was only for yesterday and today (June 26th and 27th). According to the really nice young lady behind the counter it is a culinary Leadership Development Class where team members can earn a Apprentice Cards. It is their 3rd season of having them. She was saying they have them ever so often but it is not a permanent stand or menu.

Just so you know I had a Mojito and a grilled Pineapple-Shrimp skewer which was delicious! Pictures will be uploaded today (I hope).

All the money they receive is donated to the Seaworld Conservation fund. I thought they should have had a sign out about their class, the limited time deal, and tat the money is being donated.

She agreed and said they requested one and it had yet to arrive.

It is a shame, because that shrimp skewer was fantastic. I also wish the park would advertise these kind of things more. Additional perks like this are what season pass members love as it breaks the daily routine of the park.

:p

Also Grogan's and the Festhuas bar is offering beer flights for $10.00. I asked and they also said maybe 2 weeks left for this deal.

I thought the park should always stick to it's regular self during the regular season with nothing special? :p

I'm not exactly sure what you are referring to with your statement here.

The point I was making was if you plan on having special limited time events or items, then it should be properly advertised. As a season pass member, I may forgo a regular trip to Trappers to have a one day special treat of a shrimp skewer if I know it is available.

I was referring to how Illuminights is a special event that people think ruin the regular season and that the regular season should remain just that.

As for limited time special culinary and merchandise offers I totally agree with making them advertised more.

Ah~ thanks for the clarification. Illuminights doesn't ruin the regular season for me. I just wish there were more acts of acrobatics as that is my favorite part of the event.

Food N Wine Fest cost so much to produce and took in so little business and added no new business to the park. I would be very very surprised if we ever see this event again. The food was great but there was no need to have a dozen semi-permanent buildings contructed for the event, and full staff with nothing to do all day. Food N Wine could have easily been held in the Festhaus for a fraction of the cost and it would have been a better experience where the customer could make a meal out of it and try everything at once and have a nice air-conditioned place to sit down. Plus people don't eat as much in hot June. Food N Wine, it was nice to know ya.
