They pull it off with the single-use QuickQueues. Honestly, I think a pay-one-price option is the event's biggest problem at this point. It wouldn't be for everyone, but I could see it being a hit with people who don't live in the area and are only visiting for a day or two.

Had my first taste of the Food and Wine Festival last Sunday. I was only able to try five dishes (four I bought and the fifth I shared with a friend), but what I've eaten so far is amazing. The event is definitely a great deal since I bought those five dishes for less than $15.

The Scandinavian krumkake dish was a bit on the small side (as delicious as it was). I'd rather see a bigger dish for some of those desserts (although it was the cheapest of the dishes on the menu).

- I plan on trying a few more dishes before the event "ends". I really hope they extend the booths through summer though. The food is fantastic.

Anyone headed to the park tomorrow, get anything from the Food & Wine Festival you really want to try. Things are shifting again- don't count on whatever it is you want being there next time. As I said before, what will be there and for how long seems to be constantly changing.

We ate/drank our way around the world yesterday. Loved it!!! I had a list and sadly was not able to try it all there just wasn't room in the hopper!
Husbands fav was the curry wurst and I think mine was the schnitzelwhich with the goulash a close second.
Our least fav was the empanadas. We did not get to try anything in Greece, France or Ireland. And only desserts and beer in Scotland, Italy and Scandinavia.

I was really surprised at the lack of line all day long. The exception was Belgium where the 3 kegs blew almost at once, we ended up doubling up on one so we didn't have to wait any longer for the 4th.

Cannot wait for the next time!!! We won't be back until August so very likely we will miss the exstension.

It sounds like most everything has been gutted. :( Crepes and Coffee is still operating as expected.

Onward to frogs in top hats and giant turtles I suppose. Goodbye Food & Wine 2013, you were truly one of the most impressively executed events at the park in recent memory. Major props to both the Culinary and Entertainment departments for doing such a fantastic job. Also, lastly, whoever was in charge of marketing this thing should be fired.

Sad indeed.

Sad that they don't incorporate the most obviously popular samplers into their permanent menus like the Schnitzelwich, Coq au Vin, Currywurst, Hamoumi, Cheddar & Lager chowder....and yes, CK, the Scottish Egg.

Just keep those on the chow line for the rest of this year and I will completely shut up. (That ought to be incentive enough, yeah?)

I'm not too concerned w/Italy anyways, because all they served was what they normally serve at that location anyhow...and at the same price. No change to the status quo there.

But if they get rid of Austria & France, then it's back to scarfing down those Sausage Pretzels in Oktoberfest. :) That won't break my heart too much, I don't think. lol

Crepes aren't being offered anymore though, from what I saw, all the equipment for the crepes has been removed. They just serve coffee and pastries now. The sign is very misleading.

If that's true, then this so-called "extension" was just a tease....

Ahh well...At least they know they better top themselves next year. In the meantime, keep some of the food items on the permanent menu, BGW!!!!

Give me my Coq au Vin, Cheddar & Lager chowder & Schnitzelwich, and I'll be happy.

Oh yeah, and START SERVING LASAGNA & PIZZA in Italy! I STILL can't figure out for the life of me why those two dishes aren't on the menu. Pizza especially.....shameful....

I swear, if there weren't such a difference in our respective sizes, I'd think CK & I were brothers or something...LOL

Very nice Lynyrd Skynyrd reference, there bro.

In the meantime, I'm saving my little booklet from the first F&W Festy. They did a great job putting this together. They really did. I think we can all agree on that.
