RE: Food & Wine Festival 2013 Rumors

Just no, there definitely was a lot of financial and economic research that went into this project well before the announcement.

You can't imagine the levels of corporate approvals that would have to go into something like this. That takes time.

RE: Food & Wine Festival 2013 Rumors

The Entertainment Department doesn't have any executive chefs on staff, so its not surprising they don't have the menu planned out. Their responsibility is event coordination - the feel of the event, what it looks like, when it is, etc. That's the kind of thing that they would have been planning. It's much better to have someone who knows what they are doing in charge of the actual food, no?

Can we get some mead, please? Would go awesome with some roast chicken.
And will there be some special deal with a BG Wine Festival refillable container?

The local paper is just now reporting this:
http://www.dailypress.com/features/family/food/the-dish-blog/dp-busch-gardens-is-planning-a-wine-and-food-festival-20121127,0,3924497.story?obref=obinsite
Wow! Have you guys even heard of this?

Completely off topic (sorry), but there's a really funny Twitter account called The Times is On It (NYTOnit) that goofs on the NY Times.

Example: "GUYS, Google can sometimes predict search terms, and The Times is ON IT. http://nyti.ms/TZd5oD"

Wow! So much new information! Nice to see the Daily Press is on the case. :p

I am telling you, the park may have thought about a food and wine festival for a few months but there was no serious logistical plans and there still probably aren't.

Obviously there never were any serious logistical plans, especially if they have all these job postings, each with a multitude of tasks that can only make you think they are hiring people for all the planning. Besides the numerous job postings, they have released absolutely no information other than a Food & Wine festival next Spring. If there is so much already planned out why can't they give dates and a decent name for the event? They don't even need to give dates, just a decent name to show some planning has been done.
Also, you don't have to be high up to know whats going on, you just have to dig around a little. Anyways, I'll stick to what I've heard and seen, and you stick to what you've heard.

What is with the condemnation of Party Rocker's source? The rest of you are relying on your personal logic. As "logical" as that logic is, Party Rocker can actually back up what he has to say. If my memory serves correctly, Party Rocker has tended to have been reliable in the past. Don't dismiss his statement completely because it's "not likely."

These source vs. source battles always end nasty. Everyone has made their position clear. No need for personal attacks.

So no one has given an answer to the possibility of a refillable wine glass for .99¢

The park already sells wine glasses and shot glasses, and ANY cup, glass, etc. bought at ANY SWPE park can be refilled for just 99 cents. Although, I'm sure just like for Illuminights they would make a few special glasses for this festival.

Appreciate the response man, but this was another sarcastic comment on my part. Lol!
Guess I should stop that.

I wonder if they plan on upgrading the bathrooms. You know because of all the wine and cheese... That will be a lot of gas going on.
