Having had KD passes for many years, I can say that's bullshit - entitled assholes are out there everywhere but KD's base isn't any better or worse than BGW's.

This appears to be more the oceanfront Karens being let in...

Full disclosure: I haven’t been there, but —

Im willing to bet it is groups that normally wouldn’t go to BGW that are going because of lower prices, lack of other entertainment options, and time on their hands.

I wouldn't describe $85 for a five hour session as "lower prices."

lolol you think people that live near the water in VB are going to half-open busch gardens when the weather is finally turning warm again?

Stop it.

Should have clarified - North-end knobs that already live next to the water so are looking to leave their backyards, so-to-speak. /s

Sounds like the KD crowd is at BGW while KD is still closed.
It’s not the KD crowd, but its the same psychological effects that occur during busy nights on Haunt. Huge crowds and waits start making people anxious, which increase tension, and eventually breaks out in incidents. Combine that with overstretched staff and you have the right mixture for problems occurring that get out of control.

Considering the F&W "Crawl" but can't seem to get the discount to show up. I've tried logging in with the barcode and my email but it's still full price. I'm a Platinum member, not sure how others have been able to get the discount to show up

I was only able to see the discount in the app. I didn’t purchase though, was only browsing.

Yeah that didn’t work for me either. I tried calling but that was a mistake...10 minutes on hold to tell me just buy it at the park...What about VIP parking? “Oh you’re platinum so you already get that” ugh

That’s unfortunate. I just signed in again to see, and under my Platinum membership and “Discounts” it shows for me. That’s not the first time that I’ve heard of others having different experiences with the website and/or app.

I am planning on going Thursday it might be a great day for a food sampling as U suspect that the crowds will be down anyone else going to be around?

Wait... I must have missed it. The food booths are open on Thursdays now?

According to the Park Hours and Food & Wine pages, they're supposed to be!

I would be careful with that statement. In the back of my head, BGW seems to to be going full speed with building coasters and major flat rides in the last 10 years. And with Patheon opening soon, that "clientel" might end up becoming a permanent makeup of park attendance for BGW. KD on the other hand is becoming more like a well rounded family experience. It almost seems that they are switching places.

I hope BGW can get the staffing up to par. I know many of you were not happy with operations over the last few weeks. Has it gotten any better? I looked at BGW's Facebook page and everything seems to be wine and roses.

So I went to TripAdvisor and checked the recent BGW park reviews and they were . . . Ah . . . Not so nice. For the 4-5 pages of of reviews I looked at, folks were basically ripping the park a new one. I don't think I have ever seen that many negative reviews of BGW in one place at one time. Is it that bad?

about half of those are complaining about rides not being open, or to cold to open the ones meant to be open. Those are people that did little research.

I know spring break week and the week after Easter have had some extra long lines. Seems that with more areas of the park in, they are letting more people in... but the same number of attractions are open. BGWFans was unable to do their usual review... so I’d call that pretty bad.

I’ll be heading up this Sunday to check things out. I’ll post what I see then. Hopefully slightly better a few weeks into the event and then outside of holiday vacations.

The BGWFans review was actually delayed, because two of the tasters were sick. I can’t say that any of us were sad to miss the Spring Break crowds, but we had planned to brave them last Sunday.

The review date will now have to be scheduled around Pantheon, too.

It is a very frustrating year.

Yeah, to clarify, the Tweet from opening day was about opening day coverage, not our comprehensive review. We never do our comprehensive review right at the start of the event because Food & Wine has a loooooong history of rocky starts. ?
