Read through your F&W review and have to agree about the inconsistent comment. Taste can be so subjective I won't go into that. I didn't try everything so I'll only mention a few things. Agree with the part about having a place to eat once you buy your food. It is crazy limited and best if you go with several people so someone can hold a table while others go for their food sample. And, yes, Korea is totally nuts as there is no place to eat unless you walk 100 feet or more. I'd like to mention 2 examples of inconsistency we experienced. The couple we were with got the Churrasco. After his wife saw her husband's food she went for her own serving. His had 3 slices of beef. Hers had 1. All strips were the same size there were just not the same quantity. As for the Gamba fritters they have always been my "go to" food for F&W. After this year, not so sure anymore. I got 3 fritters. 2 were no more than fritters with no shrimp at all. The third fritter looked like they had taken 1 small shrimp, wrapped it in dough and cooked it. Tried to make 2 bites out of the single shrimp and still had 4 or 5 bites of dough. The shrimp taco will be my "go to" if I go back.

Thanks for the review. Have to agree with the lines, too. Some locations had no line and others had long lines. Mexico was the worst. I wouldn't discourage anybody from trying the food but just be prepared for the inconsistency.

When I was there on Sunday I didn't end up getting a single thing, or riding a single ride. I figured waiting until 3 or 4 PM would calm the lines down, but it really didn't.

EDIT: I will say I went with the intention of not riding any rides unless the lines were short. I brought my camera and intended to just eat some food and snap photos.

Speaking for Sundays: Its ok if you hit the food stands early. up to around noon there is barely anything going on. And then, seemingly from one minute to the next, it's like 30 minute lines at every food booth.

I would recommend going on a Thursday afternoon/evening if that is an option for you.

That's an interesting theory, but has nothing to do with it. There are no blockout dates on Saturdays.

I specifically picked Sundays over Saturdays since Saturdays had 2 shorter sessions than the 1 Sunday session.
If I had to pay full price for the ticket I would go with Sunday.

Looks like they combined the Saturdays sessions again going forward. That might change the load for the coming weekends.

Last weekend, it was just a 10 minute wait, at the most, for beignets. The line looked pretty long, but it goes by fast. Also, if the line is long, the food is more likely to be fresh since the staff has to keep cooking (at least in my experience). In other words, I would say go for it!

They're now selling all-day tickets while also allowing "half-day" reservations that start at 5pm, since many are leaving the park by then.

These guys are great. I hope the park keeps them once the pandemic is over. Street entertainment like this makes the villages feel so much more alive.
This is so true! I love walking by and hearing them, or the Bel Concertino. I'm always happy when I'm at Kings Dominion and the Clown Band or the Line Dancing folks show up. It just feels way more immersive.

Are there any membership discounts on tasting / sampler passes?

I just see 10% off for the FIFTEEN sampler pass, but that is available to the public...

Nope, there is no discount on sampler passes for members. Oftentimes it is cheaper to buy a dish with your pass discount than it is to buy a sampler lanyard and use that for the same dish.
