I think busch is good at keeping secrets that they want to keep.

Well it would be hard for anyone to keep a secret that big for 10 YEARS!

Bin Laden was able to keep his whereabouts a secret for 10 years.

Bin Laden was also in the middle of a desert and had good trained people, were talking about a theme park here, not a terrorist group! :)

I know, I'm just saying with the right people any secrets can be kept for long periods of time. And I would say BGW/Busch Entertainment/Blackstone/etc. seems to be really good at doing this. They even go as far as to "leak" fake information to confuse people trying to find this out (like us), Just look back at what has been happening with the 2012 coaster and people fishing for information that the park refuses to let out.

The "false info" was nothing more than statements to employees. Renderings, concept imagery, etc all costs way to much to make that a mis-info campaign.

Thats exactly what I was thinking. What if the ride turns out to be completely different than what we have seen? Scary stuff.

No. We can't tell you everything we know about the stuff we have, but I can tell you with 100% certainty that it's real.

Can this thread be returned to the correct topic now? When I was riding Apollo yesterday, some random guest actually brought it up. Wait, it wasn't one of you, was it?

This thread is way old but I thought I would share this. The story is true. The Goose is even still around- Stuffed, but still around.

Interesting fact about the incident: The goose didn't hit him directly, at that speed he would have been killed. The goose hit the camera filming him and dismembered, most of the blood on him isn't his.

JMU: Is that bit true?

From what I've been told about it yes the goose hit a lot of things but it did clip him.

Thanks, that was the scenario that made the most sense to me. The physics involved on full goose-human contact at those speeds are a little scary.

Well people always seem to forget that it only goes 73mph at the bottom. If he hit the goose say only 50 ft. down the drop it would seem completely plausible.
