I'm not sure if it has been mentioned on here yet, but I heard that one of reasons for closing the ride was because they needed a replacement part. By they time they got the part shipped to the park they would have to set up for 13 and they would not have enough time to work on it in between Howl-O-Scream and ChristmasTown, so they decided to wait until the next season.

If this was the case, why would the park not simply announce that the ride is broke? Why let all the rumors and drama go on about it for months? Do they just get a kick out of everybody creating scenarios and drawing conclusions?

Because telling the general public that a ride is broken will cause people to overreact.

I think they should just add a suspended vekoma family coaster with a few inversions. It could go around Ireland, the bridge,The little forest and ravine, and have a small indoor section. It be a pretty nice addition! :D

As much as I can wish that this would be a good idea. The SFC doesn't have the structural integrity to support the forces involved in inversions. I also will not to exclude the fact that there already is a looping model they sell called the SLC, which is atrocious.

I understand that they can't go upside down but, it was just a crazy idea. Also, NO SLC!!! (Mind Eraser killed me) Though the supports would be filled with sand and would interact with the guest by flying over the village. It would be themed to a banshee (Probably not due to the one at KIngs Island) or Dragons.

Could the projectors from The Globe work in Europe in the Air? Maybe that was the part that broke/never worked right and EitA was more important than Pirates.

No The Globe Theater and the Europe in the Air building have always had separate projectors and systems. Pirates was closed to prepare for renovations to The Globe Theater and has nothing to do with Europe in the Air at all. Also keep in mind one is a 4D film and another is 2D. This would require a different type of projector.

it wouldn't be hard to put a coaster back behind EitA. you'd have to lose part of the England lot, though. Luckily they're expanding parking across the street.

I love how I get to post this basically consistently once a year. :p

Now imagine something custom. Tree loss and impact on Banbury could be vastly reduced. It's also the perfect location for a Woodie in my book- nice and far from the nearest houses and whatnot.

Just saying, I'd much rather have the Maypole Show over this....

New budget cuts have dictated that the Maypole be moved to Banbury and replace the clock tower in an effort to consolidate defunct attractions. :p

I had a post on here at some point about running a custom wood coaster through those woods. Seems totally possible from a space perspective. There is just a ton of room.

Of course, budget and corporate imagination may be entirely different issues.
