Wouldn’t be surprised at all if Intamin had to sweeten the pot a bit to make the MMXX deal happen. I like to imagine it was Larry Giles’ final act, insisting that the park twist their arm to resolve some ongoing technical problems and clean up that supplier relationship as he left. Very professional, classy, and shrewd way to hand off a role, if true.

But who knows.

Think I've said it in this very thread before but Larry is still around. He's just the corporate D&E person now. He's still very much involved and last I had heard still works in the office at BGW and had not moved down to Florida.

There is activity on Pompeii. Running empty boats with park personnel entering the que area. Employees with EFP specific shirts in the area. Asked an employee at the entrance and they expect it up today.

Apparently they are going to be doing some employee testing today. After that it should be good to go.

Maybe it’s just me but the new boats seem to make a lot less impressive of a splash. Maybe it’ll be different when fully loaded with humans?
