I know, I'm just really anxious to see it. Mostly because I haven't seen anything yet, unlike BGW, where I was there when it opened. Plus his update is bringing a lot of good news, where yours had a lot of news I didn't like, if you know what I mean.

Personally, I think the Dominator is the best overall ride at KD. It has just the right amount of speed along with the huge loop after the initial drop hill. The only thing I would change is when the picture is taken, which currently is when you go up the second hill about to go on the corkscrew. Rate: 9.5/10

Hi Russel,
The camera is located right now coming out of the Cobra Roll.

Okay, so I just think that it would look cool with a new paint job. It could be a turquoise color, similar to Leviathan but not exact. I was just thinking about what could make it better and I think that would make it look even more appealing and enticing. If you've ever ridden it you can visibly see the sweaty marks on the seats from previous riders. It is gross and green. Something I've noticed is that the tracks are starting to do the same, they look grey in some spots (paint wearing off causing the ride to reveal the metal) but some of the ride actually has patches pf green on it, it is pretty nasty.

Russell, Dominator was re-painted last year during the 2012-2013 off-season. It's really at the best it will be look-wise right now. If you think it's looking bad now, come back to me in a few years and let me know how it is then. :p

Seriously though, I doubt a repaint is in the works anytime soon. I do think the color you suggested would look pretty cool (sort of like Kraken), but I don't have any major problem with how the ride is painted now. I do wish the ride had some sort of theming, though. BGW may get heat for stopping short after giving a coaster a themed name, but Dominator is almost as generic as it gets before you name it "The Coaster" or "The Looping Thrill Ride." :p

And Connor, don't get me started on the gum. There's a reason why Walt Disney didn't allow gum of any kind to be sold at his parks!

Hey, if it's eewy and chewy, it must be themepark food. Gum is like history in your mouth. I really would want to see theming on Dominator but, it is Cedar fair. How about lights from flight of fear replace the bright construction lights for nighttime rides. There could also be a tunnel for the second half of the ride with music, strobes, and lasers. Sounds like the ultimate Cedar Fair package to me.;-P

They painted the seats this year black and a small strip of yellow on the bottom of the restraint.

Dont get me wrong, I love this coaster and I'm glad we have it. But this coaster's surroundings at its original location were far superior to where it sits now. The water on the 1st half and the foliage on the 2nd half of the ride certainly add to it character. Its too bad they wont throw some near misses or cedar trees or something on the back half of this coaster where it sits. Enjoy :)

I will probably get rotten eggs thrown at me, but I actually dislike Dominator; no amount of theming is going to improve this ride for me. I have no idea what it was like, before it was moved to KD, but for me now it is almost as unpleasant as Shockwave. I have to brace myself for the second half of the ride to avoid injury. It hurts and gives me a headache.

I won't throw anything at you Nicole. I have had the same type of experiences on the coaster too. It almost seems like it has good days and bad days. I'm not sure how that's possible but I have noticed over the years that dominator is significantly better early in the season. Maybe off season train maintenance has something to do with it. It also seems better on very hot days for some reason. It has given me headaches before too though. I stay away from it at night and later in the season.

Thanks for sharing the video. It is interesting to view the ride with different surroundings. Appreciate the thoughts on different ride experiences. I remember feeling "meh" about it the first time I rode it but enjoyed a couple of rides in September 2014.
