What did they say? I do not see any footers outside of the building. Seems like there ahould be more than one building like a snack stand and gift shop at Wildwood grove does not have much.So today at the park riding the train they implied the ride will be much larger than just the building.
I agree. Excited to see the new ride system in action, but I hope their next addition is an observation tower attraction, to go after a non-thrill ride audience.I’m personally disappointed it’s just not a slow moving dark ride because I have friends that don’t like roller coasters. Dollywood has plenty of shows and the train, but it needs more attractions for these kind of people.
It would be awesome if they could vary the wetness throughout the season. If the splashes come more from controlled sources that they can tone down or turn off, like cannons and waterfalls, and less from the physics of the vehicle splashing into the water, it could make for a great water ride in the summer and a great dark ride/coaster in the early spring through late fall (or even winter if the water portions are all indoors).I really hope you don't actually get wet on this thing. Dollywood has been moving more and more towards being a year-round destination and I would hate to see this thing end up with a limited season. As long as it's like just the lightest of spritzes—think Frozen Ever After or similar—it's probably okay, but anything more than that would be a big mistake in my opinion.
I believe this one is expanding on that concept and adding additional features, so yes, it would be a prototype in a way. It's not a prototype, the prototype was Mission Bermudes at Futuroscope in France
That said I think it’s beneficial that a park like this work out the kinks on an attraction this complex now rather than later. Dollywood is competent enough to get the issues sorted out but small enough that it won’t be the major issue it would be at a place like Epic Universe, which is heavily linked to receiving the second installment of this ride system.I just have a feeling being a prototype this will have delayed opening and LOTS of downtime. I’m glad that we probably can’t go until next September when hopefully they have it running more reliably…
