RE: Dead Line (2011 to Present)

I get what they did and I enjoyed it. In my opinion, I think it would have been better if they referenced more real things. For example a better "story" would be that they are working on building the new metro line in Rome, which is something that they have actually been working on. They encounter some ruins then a gas leak, then they lost contact with the construction crews, etc. etc. Makes more sense than a metro under Pompeii.

I think I'm starting to get off topic, but all I am saying is that they could fix the story here and make it a little more interesting, educational, and authentic--as much as you can for a haunted house. haha. :-D

Someone fix the toilet.

As cool as that would be, I don't think any of us want a repeat of KD's "Miners Revenge" incident. I can see it now:A random guy raises a protest against Deadline, claiming that Busch Gardens was being "insensitive" to the workers on the new metro line in Rome." Welcome to America. LOL

I would love t see the scare actors do more than go RAWR! and scream.I like mazes to have a fuller story, including characters.People sometimes dont realize atmospheric scares mixed with jump scares, are better than jump scares galore.Atmospheric scares build up a tension or distraction, and jump scares go for the kill.(No pun intended...or is it?!)When I go through a maze,I like it to be a story,in which im part of Interacting with certain characters.Myabe add hazmat and whatnot coming at you thinking youre infected, with needles and weapons.

The foam on the subway car is supposed to represent vomit or puke. They have been trying to get the effect working perfectly; however, it has never seemed to work they want it to so it is very rare to actually see it operating. I caught it once.

RE: Dead Line (2011 to Present)

Yeah, since 2011 ive never even saw that effect... the foam also caused problems for my moms wheel chair the wheels caught the foam and slung it on her she was covered in foam when we got out..XD All of my family was about to die laughing.

^ That could be our problem! It is nice that wheelchairs are able to go through the haunted houses. I am glad to see that they are apparently taking that more into consideration.

I assume it was to reduce the slipperiness on the floor, since people tend to freak out when scared.CTC and outdoor mazes had problems with spills and rain and they thought putting mud on the wooden walkways would reduce the slips and falls...it didnt. So,i could be wrong.

Here are the subway posters from Deadline. Notice there is a reference to some of the Entertainment department people on every poster.

RE: Dead Line (2011 to Present)

I drew a layout of the house by memory. For reference I also attached a photo of the original layout plans for "No Escape from Pompeii" that's the house that was there before Curse of Pompeii.

RE: Dead Line (2011 to Present)

Since Sky decided to delete his post, which I thoughtlessly responded to with humor, vice any thing constructive, let me say this:

Why IS the Deadline sign in English? Aren't there signs in German, French, etc around the park? I hear a lot about the fantastic theming in this (boring and badly staffed) maze. If that is the case, why weren't the signs, which serve no function beyond décor, in Italian?

Look at the last photo, notice how the blood is splattered, almost as if a human did that? In the last scene of Deadline you may remember a person was throwing fire crackers at the ground. While going up to the scene before the subway train you could hear the sound of gun shots on a loop and voice telling you to "stay calm"and then suddenly saying "Next stop, Hell." Interesting enough right before the subway scene is a security room that you pass by. There is only one other manequin in the entire house where the security cameras are and similarly he has blood splattered all over his face.

Interesting enough right before the subway scene is a security room that you pass by. The only mannequins in the house are the ones in the subway train and a mannequin in the room with the security cameras. Notice how all of the manequins in the subway train are people unlike the rest of the house where everyone else are wearing employee outfits. After you go into the security room you'll notice that one of the alarms has gone off or as you know it, the laser sensor scare. I was once the first one into the house and the laser was actually on a timer I assume to resemble that someone had already been there. Could this mean the gas leak wasn't actually an accident but someone did this, on purpose? Another scene before the security room is the electrical room, notice how it says "high voltage in Italian and shows a symbol of person getting hit by the electrical currents from the wires. You may remember that

RE: Dead Line (2011 to Present)

People always think about how great the set is for Deadline, and it is worthy of the applause, but we rarely think of how well the existing building lends itself to the scenic. For instance, the subway terminal is mostly the bare bones of the building with a few gates, barrels, and vending machines. When you think of it, most of BGW's most popular mazes rely heavily on the pre-existing buildings.

Here's a taste of what the building actually looks like inside.
