Every time I walk by that stand all I can think of is Steve Martin IN The Jerk. Best pizza in a cup in town. Haha

I did meet him once and he seemed like a nice guy so I'm hopeful.

I would love to see them have BBQ cones. There currently offering them at SWO for Brews, Bands, and BBQ and I would love to be able to have more portable BBQ at the park. Back on topic, David worked his way up on the west coast with SWSD and Aquatica beginning in 2003 and I'm really excited to see what this new postion leads him to. Good luck David!

Well that's a good sign as any. I do hope that he and Pete Dunklee will get Busch Gardens in tip top shape in every department.

I've made 3-4 trips to Busch Gardens this year. On two of them I've seen David Cromwell walking around with a broom sweeping up trash. He wasn't just carrying the broom around either. He was looking closely for it and swept up several pieces near me that I hadn't even noticed. It really says a lot about a manager who will jump in and help, and who doesn't mind doing what is probably an entry level job. I'm happy to see has such attention to detail and concern for the state of the park. He's the type of manager I'd want to work for, and the type of person I'd want to be in charge of such a special place.

It is good optics and sets a good tone.  Certainly we don't want senior leadership to spend their days sweeping the park, that is a huge waste of dollars, but is good walk around leadership, provided it is not just for the optics of guests.  It needs to continue when the park is closed.  (and go beyond a broom)

I think it is pretty standard in the industry for a Park President/General Manager to walk around with a broom and dustpan. I've seen GM's at SixFlags and Cedar Fair parks do the same, and I seem to recall stories of Disney doing it as well, though that may be inaccurate.
