I don't know, I kind of like it. Would I like a different floor entirely? YES. I hate the current floor. It's ugly. Add something nicer. Yes, I know it's a beer hall. For now, I like it.

I can think of a few dozen things at the park that are uglier than the old Festhaus floor. This is the park's problem: they don't understand the concept of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." They end up blowing their budget on exactly the opposite of what needs fixing.

Honestly, I didn't even pay attention to the floor, why? Because I actually look where I walk and keep my head up. With that said, it does not look that bad. It really doesn't, it is just different.

It's not the color that bothers me, it's that they only painted 1/6th of the floor that color. Now it just looks like they wanted to paint the floor, but the bozo who picked out the color didn't get the right shade. It looks sloppy, and it looks bad on the park's part.

Looking at that picture I actually think it's interesting because they clearly painted the main areas of walking. There are floors that are designed to differentiate between where you walk and where you don't. It's like at a department store, carpeting where the clothes are but the main walkways through the store are tile. I think it adds nice contrast.

It's more of a design choice rather than guests being dumb. A lot of places use this kind of contrast for their flooring. While I certainly agree it was not needed and there are other things that could have been done, but I don't think it destroys anything.

It certainly does not destroy a thing, the floor is still walk-able. It is just a tacky eyesore on the highest level of horrendous.

Anyone else see the makings of a certain flag? ;)

Can we take a moment to appreciate just how awful the new Das Festhaus floor is? I mean really... Who thought this was a good idea?! "Lets replace 1/6th of the floor and color it blood red!" Yeah, that sounds like a great idea... (N)

Guests aren't that dumb- they don't need highlighted walkways in a building filled with tables with a few very wide open areas placed strategically around them. Will they be painting arrows on pathways next?

I don't know, after my self imposed Festhaus ban after "the 2nd year of ChristmasTown Calamity" I experienced in the Festhaus it couldn't hurt. Couldn't walk, people not paying attention strollers every which way and parked everywhere. Just in general people being the way people are and not thinking about there surroundings and other things than themselves.

While I LOVE the food there, the supertight rows and navigating in and out of them while navigating the stroller maze with your tray, balancing your drink, dodging rabid, sugared up children who aren't being watched half the time is stressful.

Plus if were not careful we might actually have to sit through Entwined. Proud to say never seen it, don't plan on it.

I come to Busch Gardens with my wife and our two children to relax and have a good time. I don't want to relive that disaster anytime soon.

Maybe it has changed but not wiling to risk heading in there except for maybe a super slow weekday with minimal crowds.

Just my thoughts.

While the park may have messed up on painting the floor, they did do one thing right in Das Festhaus, that I'm surprised some you guys haven't noticed yet.(or posted about)

Who remembers the light, and dark blue curtains they used to have in the entrance room of the Festhaus, before Entwined 2013? Well, guess what, they're back!(I apologize in advanced for the poor picture quality)

There was also another set of curtains in the center of the entrance area, that I didn't get a picture of.

I agree to this. It's not bad- I can certainly live with it. In fact, I sort of like it now that there are multiple stripes as opposed to just the one random strip of red. I still wish the park wasn't spending their budget on unnecessary expenses, though.
