It only spun people fast the 1st year right? Didn't people complain about it making them sick?

It spun until about two years ago.
Last time I rode it, it spun. Im pretty sure it's 1st year or so, it spun faster. I think i remember reading reviews about it when it opened, and an abundance of people were vomiting as a result of the spinning

Maintenance bay

There are no other operators in the building. The control booth is full of cameras and there is a map showing the location of every ride vehicle. The ride basically runs itself besides dispatch.
This. However when faults do come up it's the controls operators' job to try and clear the fault if at all possible. Clearing the faults can be tricky depending on the fault. But yes all the operators are withint the load/unload area and controls.

So here are a few of the references to the real King Ludwig II vs. Busch Gardens Prince Ludwig.

- Ludwig is the name of both the real person and the character.

- Both Ludwigs had a castle in a forest secluded somewhat.

- Ludwig the real person was declared insane by a doctor that never examined him and his brother Otto was legitimately insane therefore the claim was that is was hereditary however he was never really examined and the claim was never really proven.
*Ludwig the character was actually insane.

- Ludwig the real person had luxurious sleighs that he would take night rides in.
*Ludwig the character had golden sleighs that you ride in and that him and his party guests disappear in.

- Ludwig the real person was captured and requested to go on a walk along the shores of a lake with the doctor that declared him insane without examination, after a 3 hour search, both bodies were found alongside the lake dead. The doctor had injuries that suggest he was strangled while no injury could be found on Ludwig. Drowning was a theory however there was no water found in his lungs and his death was truly a mystery.
*Ludwig the character vanished mysteriously and presumed dead along with his parents and party guests.

For a slightly more in depth look at the castle with pictures and a short bio of the King/Prince Ludwig, check out: http://www.neuschwanstein.de/englisch/palace/index.htm

If you click on the "Tour of the Castle" link you will see the layout of the castle along with the ability to click on a room and given a short description and picture of the room. My favorite room is the Grotto. It featured multicolored lighting, cavernous design, and a real waterfall. However it was not fully completed before King Ludwig II's death like other parts of the castle.

I had a little voice in my head saying that this should be placed here.

But the doors leading to the storage for the sleighs are on the right hand side just before unloading, correct? If so I never realized how large that rides maintenance bay really is (and how little space the ride itself takes up).

I believe the sleighs are stored on the track. I've walked the whole thing and been through all the secret doors and there is no sleigh storage area. The maintence bay can hold about 5 sleighs at one time. It's a large area but you don't realize how large a sleigh is till your standing next to it. The ride takes up most of the building. Think of traveling around a central point zig zagging in and out of scenes. The middle holds all the projectors and electronics and the ride basically travels around it.

Yes, the sleighs are stored on the track starting from the load area and are stacked back to scene 7, depending on how many sleighs are on the track.

When doing work on a sleigh, all the sleighs are cycled on the track until the specific sleigh number is pulled off right before scene 6.

I think they really need to amp up the movement on those sleighs again. The ride is completely force-less now. I don't even think the sub woofers under the seats were working when I rode it. Believe it or not, the removal of the spinning in the fireplace is not even my biggest concern anymore. My biggest concern is that now the simulated drop at the end wouldn't be convincing to anybody, even if they didn't know how the ride works.

Of course, Pretzel steals my thunder. :dodgy:

I'll upload my video sometime. For now...

DarKastle really is an amazing ride.

Still haven't ridden that ride yet....Every time we've gone this year, it's been with the little ones & none are big enough to ride it yet. :(
