I was there, and would describe the crowd as “large.”
But to this day, I still judge the crowds by what I remember from being a kid in the 80s and 90s, when it seemed like any reasonably nice day saw the park just mobbed with people. Surely that memory is based on the days when I happened to visit the park back then, but I do remember everything always having a huge line and the pathways being crammed with humanity until darkness fell. Half the reason the midnight-close nights were so great was the fact that most folks had left by 10 or so, and everything became so peaceful.
With that said... I didn’t ride a single ride in 7-8 hours at the park yesterday. Just wasn’t worth it, when I had walked onto Griffon 24 hours earlier.
Edit: I just remembered that when I rolled in through the employee drive in the early afternoon, I saw a tram full of people crossing BG Boulevard from the direction of the satellite lots. That was an “Oh” moment.
