Yeah, lines were nuts. I had bought a bunch of the $30 tickets in August, and most of the folks who had tentatively expressed interest had bailed, so I offered them to a friend for his family and they could only go today. At like 2.

And honestly, for younger kids? The 2:30 to 5:30 window wasn't insane: parking in Scotland, sure, but the trams were moving at that point, and as long as you weren't trying to eat or drink the kid stuff wasn't crazy backed up. But watching so many people trying to enter as we were leaving, and when we drove by 60 again at 7...godspeed to them all.

Crowds inside the park aren’t all that crazy.
I guess they just didn’t have the employees to man the parking booths ready on time.

The backup on 60 was insane. Starting from between Kingsmill and the employee entrance. Never seen it that bad.
The line of cars I saw on my way to Yorktown filled the over pass and were actually backing up into the travel lanes on 64 west. I have never seen it backed up that far.

Park has almost filled the first overflow lot and is busy. That said I was in and out in under 15 minutes for my QQ redemption and that was with a tram ride from overflow each way.

Keep in mind they have closed a parking lot for the fireworks
I actually was not aware as I come in from the 199 side of 60 so hit the over flow and went right in. That is an interesting choice as I would have assumed that they were being shot from the boneyard like in the summer. I guess maybe they are afraid of a fire again.
