As promised, here’s my quick survey of the Cedar Fair parks that are only selling tickets beginning July 1st.

California’s Great America
Canada’s Wonderland
Carowinds
Cedar Point
Dorney Park and Wildwater Kingdom
Kings Dominion
Kings Island
Knott’s Berry Farm
Michigan’s Adventure
Valleyfair
Worlds of Fun

Yes, ALL parks are not selling tickets before July 1st. I assume that this is just a precautionary measure so they don’t have to refund tickets in the case of any extended business closures or stay-at-home orders.

Northam extended the non-essential business order to 8-May.

So BGW and KD could technically open up after then.

Here’s a pretty detailed update on how Cedar Fair is reacting to the pandemic. One thing of importance to note is this:

Disney World just emailed this it to passholders paying monthly -

This could be a possible answer for parks IF they show reliable they could be used at security screening stations to filter out infected guest.

That would be pretty amazing if dogs can be trained for this. Considering the demand those dogs would be in there most likely would be better uses for them then entertainment.

Every airport would need a couple of these for example. I think it would take quite a while to have enough trained to be able to use them at theme parks.

President Trump’s latest tweet suggests that entertainment businesses could get relief in the next coronavirus bill!
