One of the best remembered "larger than life" elements of Great Adventure was the Conestoga Wagon, the main food location serving the Great Arena which was located just outside the entrance.
Originally it was painted in really bright colors and elaborate patterns, which were toned down over the years. With the Great Arena used only for concerts and special events in more recent decades, the Conestoga Wagon was open less frequently and fell into disrepair over time.
When the Safari Off Road Adventure was added to the park for the 2013 season, the decision was made to remove the Conestoga Wagon, and Harry was invited to document its removal for our website.
