Jeremy Camp & Rend Collective this Saturday. I thought that this was one band, but after some Google research they are two separate artists so I suppose they'll be doing two shows / a double bill.

Really hope that Kool & The Gang show isn't a just a double show with a band called The Gang and another called Kool.

If you want to find out about Kool & The Gang, or almost any music group/artist try this website; http://www.allmusic.com/ it's a good site that gives you all kinds of info on whoever you're looking up including a bio, album lists for both main albums and compilations, individual songs, song samples and awards. They also have sister sites for movies and games.

Another concert night (the second real concert of the season). Won't be there but if anyone goes let me know how everything went.
I went with a co-worker to see the Josh Turner concert. The concert itself was very well done as far as sound, lighting, etc. It was a lot of fun! However, leading up to the concert is another story.

A lot of people didn't know (or understand...) where to get the wristbands for the concert. There was also a lack of communication as to where to go, many people were confused as to where to get in line, where to line up, etc to wait for the gates of the RPT to open. Despite being very far back in the line (in Scarlett's queue, actually!) we still got very good seats towards the front of the theatre.

I will add, watching the musicians try to play around on the spring-stage that's in place for All For One's stunts was hilarious! Josh Turner even took a minute to tell the crowd "If I look like Michael Jordan...these are not my natural abilities! If you've seen a show here, you'll know this stage is kinda like a trampoline!"

Thinking about coming to Mercy Me. Does anyone have Any tips?

-Best time to arrive to get a wristband
-Where to get a wristband
-when to line up
-Where to stand in line
-best area to sit

And anything other tips you might have. I'm considering paying for the reserved seating, but there are 8 of us -- so it would be nice NOT to pay if it's not necessary.

Unless something has changed you get the wrist bans at guest relations on your right as you are walking down the hill from the tram right after the second ticket booth. I would suggest getting there early as they are first come first servr. Make sure everyone that you need a ticket for is there with you egrn you go to get them as they will onlu give you wristbands for those with you at the time.

concert series seating

Planning on Attending Both 38 Special and Kool and the Gang and see that the Concerts will be in the seated area this time and that BG offers Preferred Seating for a Fee-Is it worth paying this Fee without showing up hours to find a decent seat

The concert wristband distribution for this year has changed slightly. Here's what the park website has for the policy.

"Concert wristbands are required for entry into the theater. Complimentary concert wristbands will be distributed on performance days at the Concert Ticket Distribution Center located at the ticket windows across from Stroller Rentals. Once the theater gates open, wristband distribution will be moved to the theater entrance pending any remaining inventory.

Wristband distribution begins at 10 a.m. on concert days and continues while supplies last. Concert wristbands are distributed on a first-come, first-served basis. A wristband guarantees entry for that day’s concert and does not guarantee a particular theater seat. One wristband per guest. Guest must be present to receive a wristband".

Thanks for all the info / tips guys. I think we are going to be there early for 38 Special so we don't miss out on wristbands.

We're driving 4hrs to BGW, so instead of taking a chance of not making the wristband cut, I purchased the reserved seating for 7 of us. However, the weather looks terrible for 7/29 -- I'm on the phone with them right now asking how they would handle it.
They said that if they can't move it inside, and it canceled altogether, they would refund my reserved seating -- but I have to go to customer service THAT day. That is gonna be a looong line, for an already inefficient register system. I'm hoping Mercy Me still performs.

Good luck, I hope everything works out!!

Looks like it's going to be raining all day long. Does that mean the MercyMe show is going to be cancelled?

"The .38 Smith & Wesson Special (commonly .38 Special, .38 Spl, or .38 Spc, pronounced "thirty-eight special") is a rimmed, centerfire cartridge designed by Smith & Wesson. It is most commonly used in revolvers, although some semi-automatic pistols and carbines also use this round. The .38 Special was the standard service cartridge of most police departments in the United States from the 1920s to the early 1990s, and was also a common sidearm cartridge used by soldiers in World War I....." - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/.38_Special

Do you guys think the band 38 Special will get turned away by BG Security this Saturday (see: Handguns t-shirt incident)? Or just people wearing 38 Special t-shirts???

Sorry guys I had to

What a show 38 Special put on. Thanks a lot Busch!!! We got there late and made it just in time. So awesome, my little sisters first concert! And yeah ^ I was blown away by the Encore 1, we thought the show was over, then they came back out for a double encore for Encore 2. Does anyone know the setlist??

Anyone who might have gotten an extra set from stage/lighting/sound mix or anything? I'm trying to add it to setlist.fm and get it all together - also we took my little six year old sister to her first concert ever last night and now she wants to know all of the songs they played haha. I know a good chunk but only about half of the setlist.

Here is my stab at it:

They definitely opened with

"Rockin' Into The Night"
"Roughhousin'"

And I think "Back Where You Belong" was after those 2.

Other songs played in no order:

"Second Chance"
"Wild-Eyed Southern Boys"
"Fantasy Girl"
"If I'd Been The One"
"Caught Up In You"
"Trooper With An Attitude"/"Drum Solo"

I think 1 or 2 Don Barnes solo songs - 1 being "Ride The Storm" (I'm PRETTY sure about this one, not 100%)

"Like No Other Night" (about 90% sure they played this)

and correct me if I'm wrong but:

Encore 1:

"Chain Lightning"

Encore 2:

"Hold On Loosely"

"Travelin' Band"

Any help / edits / suggestions would be awesome guys!

Well it was the first time that I saw Kool & the Gang and it was an awesome event and in particular the band interaction with the crowd was really great. The best part of the night was the last song Celebration in which everyone in the stadium was standing, dancing and singing along and from where I could see not a signle person wasn't standing.
