Ride Ideas I've come up with. Feel free to add on to add your own.

I'm a huge roller coaster fan, and while at Busch Gardens yesterday I came up with some ride ideas.

1.Banshee(Killarney/Ireland). As we all know, the legend of the Banshee originates in Ireland. She screams/wails for those about to die, and is often seen washing the bloodstained clothes of them, often by a river. Since Ireland is right by the river, I was thinking of this. I don't know about any elements for the ride yet, but as for theming maybe as you speed past the bank you see a person wearing a black veil washing bloodstained clothes, or at least that's what you think you see, until it's confirmed as the last thing you hear before the big drop is a bone chilling scream. Since she screams when someone is about to die, as you pull back in to the station there's a "body" covered in a sheet off to the side. That's what I have so far.

2.Wendigo(New France/Canada).A roller coaster based on the legend of the half beast/spirit. The queue/station could be themed after a hunting lodge. As riders ascend the lift hill, the sound of snapping branches creates the illusion of it chasing them, then changes to growling throughout the ride. The interior and exterior of the station would feature claw marks.

Feel free to add on or add your own ideas!

New France is pretty much landlocked and doesn't have too much room to expand without pulling the flume.

Also there is a coaster not too far from the park called Banshee already lol. I'd recommend looking into other Irish legends for ride ideas.

I really dig the wendigo idea though. Add some of the wendigo theming from HOS and it could work ad a future flume replacement.

Okay, I'm not sure what to call this concept, and I just thought of it last night, and it's very similar to MANY other concepts on here, but here goes nothing.

Banbury
Get rid of London Rocks, the Union Jacks, the sign, the new music, and any other evidence that London Rocks ever existed. I would like to see a more authentic English musical with more drama.

Heatherdowns
The only thing that I would change here is to add more details about the legend of the Loch Ness Monster in Nessie's queue.

Kilarney
Remove Europe in the Air and either bring back an HD Corkscrew Hill or add a different Irish-themed ride.

The Wild Reserve
Remove the Pet Shenanigans theater and replace it with an animal exhibit.

Rhinefeld
Fix the Wilkommenhaus.

Oktoberfest
Either cover up Darkastle's show building or redo it to match the rest of the castle. Get rid of the butterflies.

San Marco
Bring back the ruin theming around Pompeii.

Some add-ons:
Oktoberfest:Verbolten is all about the Black Forest and how Gerta and Gunters travel agency is under attack by the forest, right? Well then show it! I know the car out front is covered in vines and stuff like it just got pulled out, make theme the cars. Make them look beat up, put vines on them, moss, like Gunter pulled them out of the forest and tried to save them as long as possible. And since the suitcases are from people who went in and never came out, put missing posters in the ride station!

I would pay full price just to see people get coated in chocolate after riding Le Scoot.

Even better: sell the ride to Nickolodean, rename it The Slime Chute, and now little Jimmy doesn't have to go on TV or go to Nick Resort to get slimed.

I like your creativity! Quite honestly, I agree with the idea of "wearing down" the Verbolten cars. The shiny sports cars have always been a gripe of mine, so dirtying them up would certainly help enhance the theme. Attaching vines and moss may not be the most practical, but a good paint job could certainly pull off a gritty, dirty look.

That said, putting "missing" posters up wouldn't really go with the theme, because the story of the Tourist Center is that Gerta and Gunter are trying their best to cover up the mishaps that occur in the Black Forest, so I don't think they'd be too happy to hang up posters for the people who got lost on their tours. :p

-I've never been to Christmas Town, but from what I've heard the only coasters open are either Griffon or Verbolten. Why not open Apollo's Chariot and temporarily theme it to a ride on Santa's sleigh?

-I know a lot of people want an animatronic Loch Ness Monster somewhere on the ride, but I was thinking, and I'm pretty sure someone's thought of this before, but maybe while riding the rider "is" Nessie or is riding it. Maybe put a fake head on the front of the train and a tail of some sort on the back.

-Verbolten:have lights coming from the "woods" and weird noises

B&M roller-coasters, AC in particular are not very tolerant of the cold. I believe they ran Alpie one year but I am not 100% sure of that.

So far as I know there is no reason Nessie could not operate, but I have no facts to back that up.

SO far as I know the reason they do not tend to run many rides is cost. x-mas town requires heavy staffing to begin with and is fairly expensive to operate as is. I would expect operating the rides would be prohibitive.

Also... Rumor was Scott did not like the rides and may have pushed to keep them out of his epic x-mas dream.

Again no hard facts here, just some things I have heard, and I am speculating on.

I would expect that of Scott on his part, however, now that he is out of the picture, we may be able to see more rides have some freedom from his grip!

I want to say that most of the B&M coasters cannot operate after freezing temperatures, although I haven't been able to find the exact temperatures. I know for a fact the SkyRide when hitting 30 degrees automatically shuts down.

Banshee was installed 7 years after Griffon in a colder northern location. It IS possible that technology and time has allowed this coaster to run in cooler temperatures than Griffon. B&M could easily have adjusted the MOM of this coaster with the use of tempered/conditioned alloy steel to allow it to operate in colder temperatures. How much do you really know about the advancements of steel in the last decade? Hmmmmm.....

It should also be noted that Griffon was, for one season, part of the Christmas Town ride lineup, although after a few weeks it was removed due to operational issues. In fairness, this could have had to do with the splash pool's brake function, but regardless it demonstrates the coaster's (or perhaps any of BGW's other B&M's) inability to properly function in the cold.

Perhaps it all comes down to the desired amount of work the Maintenance Department wants to put forth during the colder seasons? They say it must be above/at 40-42 degrees Fahrenheit at Apollo's peak for it to operate, and let me tell you, it is WAY colder than that some nights later in October.
