Structurally, I can confirm that they added absolutely nothing and if anything only got rid of a bunch of stuff and gutted the place out.

I think getting things ready on time is a thing of the past? First HOS 12, then CT 2012, and now this.

Honestly, when this project is completed; I could see it being a nice addition to the area. There hasn't been any "real" update to Festa in a while and I would love another reason to venture down past the arcade.

As for Merch- I agree with Pretzel Kaiser.. BGW/ Coca~Cola Merch would be nice, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it. As for Coke merch- that would be nice. I am a big fan of Coca-Cola. Diet Coke in particular! If it ends up being anything like the gift shop in the Coca-Cola museum... I will enjoy the transformation.

Besides- I need something more than water cannons at Rapids to lure me down that way.

Since they opened it up to pretty much the entire pavillion I am thinking it's going to be more than a snack shop! With all the space available it would be easy to add some merchandise.

And I can confirm that the map was on the wall during Christmas Town last year, we stored the Countdown to Christmas numbers in there and I would see the map whenever I went to change them out.

The map was there for games, I believe. The tent used to be split into sections for different games. Since the VP said only 40% was going to be used, I highly doubt it will be more than a slightly larger than normal snack stand.

I went to the coca-cola museum in Atlanta. They had the coolest room. It was a soda sampler room and featured samples of coke products from around the world. Some of them were rather interesting. I recall one from South Africa that was delicious. They had this sample for the holidays that was "Holiday Spice" coca-cola. It was amazing and I was sad that they never sold it in stores.

Ah, but did you try the most disgusting soda of all, Beverly?

From Wikipedia
... on average 2,000 people go through the tasting area [per day], and on average 5 people enjoy the taste of Beverly

Perhaps BG and Coke could team up and do something like that featuring products from their European markets. Though it seems extremely unlikely that will happen here and now.

Ewww Beverly- I remember that and laughing at how bad it was! Disgusting. There was this one guy trying to get his girlfriend to drink it. He was also roping me in to try to convince her how good it was just so he could see her spit it out. It was the nastiest drink I ever tasted!

"Would kinda be a ripoff of the place in Epcot"

Well we all know BGW would never copy anything from Epcot..LOL
I say bring it on I really like that coke drink from China.. I'm only sorry they don't sell it in Epcot.

Actually Epcot opened up after Busch Gardens Williamsburg and they had people sent to BGW to "look around for ideas"... so-to-speak.

I think both Busch Gardens Williamsburg and Epcot are fabulous parks and it only makes sense to imitate one another when something works.

I just wish Epcot would build a TRON themed ride. Seriously.. I want to ride some Light Cycles!

I don't know about you, but I noticed that my camera burns a lot of juice making panoramas; cell phone & regular camera.

I noticed that a there was some kind of brownish walls that had been built around inside. Looked like booth partitioning. For some reason I didn't take a picture. It was around 10pm closing time when I noticed it.

I talked to some reliable sources. Basically, it is just what I said it would be, nothing more than a large snack stand. They will have pretzels, popcorn, churros, and turkey legs! Also, they will feature many sodas as well as the ICEEs. I did not get a positive confirmation on Freestyle Machines; however they will also start selling several different kinds of tea.

From what was described, they will have up to three cash registers and up to four team members working there. Popcorn is to be made in "the back" and then brought to the front instead of the popcorn machine being up front.

Absolutely no merchandise will be sold, as some of you have hoped for. It is solely a snack stand on steroids. Something that area is in dire need of.

I feel like people's expectations for this was way to high. Like, they expected some major Coca-Cola gift shop extraordinaire type of thing, when really all it ever was is an enlarged snack stand. That is what was planned about a year or two ago, and that is what it is being built.

I think the fact people named it the Coca~Cola Market or the Coke Stand had people thinking it was solely a Coca~ Cola product/merchandise based shop. When in theory it was only titled such because there really was no official name given by the park and we just gave it a quick name.

Just like the tv news media, we blew this way out of proportion and it was our own fault. Maybe we got too excited over the Food & WIne Festival that we got too excited over a simple snack stand enlargement?
