Well as for me the minute you pulled off of I 95 last year on opening night the tower had a wow factor that I could not have imagined. Even as you walked to the ticket booth and into the park you couldnt, at least I couldnt tell that the few strands from the backside were missing. Sure if you walked around to the backside and looked up you noticed but the shear size of that tree outweighed those missing strands.

So in fact your statement is also untrue from my perspective.

I noticed it from every side but straight on. Yes it looked good from straight on up as the center piece of the park it should look good from all side not just one. And opening week it was not just a few strands missing but a significant portion 3just hid from the front by location.

There was a post or two that was a bit off-topic, but since said posts were dealing with information relevant to the ongoing discussion, they really weren't out of place. If you ever believe a discussion has gone completely off the rails, report the post(s) or just contribute to the thread with thoughts more directly in line with the thread topic. Many people will be more annoyed to open the thread to find a post that just says "off topic" than they would be simply reading the slightly off-topic posts and then moving on.

You can. We may move the posts over to a "more right" place for a discussion on crowd levels, but that's just for organizations sake.

Last time I mentioned something about how busy HOS was I got a DM from a admin saying there is a thread for discussing crowd levels.

Is the Christmas tree maze something that is best done at night? I'm thinking near opening might be the best time, if capacity is rather small at the tents. But, if seeing it lit up at night is a big part of it.... that might not be the best approach afterall.

No one really knows at this point. Last weekend there were no lights or decorations on any of the trees. There were no lights or anything on the very small booths they set up, the only lighting was the parking lot lights and white overhead lights in the in guessing 10x20 tents. There is no real path inside and people seem to be able to wander and stay as long as they want. This will cause huge waits I think. Hopefully this Friday we get a better idea what this new addition is supposed to be.

It's a neat idea, and I can see how it will be a lot of fun for families, with the crafts and heated areas for sitting down and doing the projects. I really enjoyed CT yesterday, even with the parts incomplete. Really though, the highlight was getting to see Pantheon?

I hope it does look better. I was really unamused when I went through on Friday night. However I do like the different kiosk set up.
